It opens on 6 November at Methil Heritage Centre. 📣 Confab's spoken word poetry initiative Slamming It 2025! will involve 200 young people from across Scotland in spoken word workshops producing a live event attended by over 300 in-person and 100 remote audience members. 💃 Dumbarton-based Clifftop Projects' Intergenerational Dance Company (CIDC), will continue its impactful work thanks to renewed funding, enabling the company to advance its mission of uniting people of all ages and abilities and fostering confidence and community through the power of movement ❄️ Debuting in January 2025, award-winning dance artist Hayley Earlam will collaborate with a team of creatives to develop Brrr, a new sensory dance performance all about Winter, created for young audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities 💿 Singer/songwriters Kathryn Joseph and Carla J. Easton have been awarded funding to develop and produce new albums 🖼️ Action research group Durty Beanz and Turner-nominated visual artist Mark Titchner will collaborate with the public on a new billboard artwork for Glasgow's Govan Road 🎺 Aberdeen Jazz Festival will return in 2025! 👋 Get ready for three immersive comedy events from Glasgow-based comedian Zara Gladman These are just a handful of the awards made this month, totalling £792,125 and distributed to artists and organisations across Scotland, including 29 individual grants made to writers, musicians, theatre makers and other creative practitioners, supporting a wide range of innovative and impactful projects. UK and France-based artists working in contemporary art can now apply for funding for exhibition projects and curatorial research trips through Fluxus Art Projects. Apply before Monday 18 November at midnight ⏰
📢 OPEN CALL 2025: EXHIBITIONS AND CURATORIAL RESEARCH PROJECTS The Fluxus Art Projects team is pleased to announce that applications are now OPEN for projects scheduled between January and June 2025! The deadline for applications is Monday 18 November at midnight. 🎨 We are a non-profit organisation established in 2010 by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and our mission is to support contemporary art on both sides of the Channel, fostering collaboration between the French and British art scenes. We support: ➔ Exhibitions and projects involving France-based and French artists in the UK, as well as UK-based and British artists in France. ➔ Curatorial research trips in the UK by France-based or French curators, and in France by UK-based and British curators. The sums allocated range from £2,000 to £10,000 per project. We support exhibitions carried out by places of various scales - spaces managed by artists and curators, art centres, museums, festivals or biennials & we pay particular attention to the production of new works and their promotion throughout both countries. 💻 For exhibitions and artistic projects, we require applications to be submitted by artistic organisations rather than individual artists.
