We are happy to share that the Al Wasl Plaza Dome has been awarded the Urban Habitat Award at the #CTBUH International Conference 2024! As the main contractor in joint venture with Cimolai, #RIMOND is proud to have built this iconic 2400-ton complex structure creating the world’s largest 360-degree immersive projection surface. Completed in just 25 months, this #engineering marvel has become a global symbol of innovation and excellence. This project also earned the first-ever “CEEQUAL Whole Team Excellent” Sustainability #Award in the Middle East, reflecting our commitment to environmentally conscious construction. Other key facts include: - The world’s largest Building Maintenance Gantry of its kind. - Over 64 kilometers of integrated conduits and cabling within the dome’s structure. - A global supply chain spanning from Mexico to Finland, Japan to South Africa made possible through unique procurement and logistical efforts, including the use of the world’s largest cargo plane, the AN-124, to transport materials.
