📣 Launch of The Fuel Report | The Shift 📣 This report looks at decarbonising supplier transport and mobile power for London’s Film and TV industry. The first of its kind, supported by Netflix and Sky, includes key recommendations for industry action. The burning of fossil fuels for transport and power is the single greatest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions from London’s film and TV industry. The Shift offers industry suppliers, alongside the industry at large, an insight into what a just transition to decarbonised vehicle and mobile power technologies might look like. Key points from The Shift’s research: 💪 By 2033, London’s film and TV suppliers could reduce transport carbon emissions by 93% and by 2036 reduce MPU emissions by 91%. 🚚 London's fleet of vehicles and MPU’s could switch away from fossil fuels by 2029 and from HVO by 2033. 🔋 Portable batteries have sufficient power to cover 99% of production use cases. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/ePTBkvVx Our co-director and co-author of the report, Roxy Erickson says: “The level of collaboration in this project, across competitors, suppliers, broadcasters and industry stakeholders, leaves us in good stead for hitting net zero within a time frame that is just and necessary. We are excited that this report begins to map out just how possible that transition is!” Our Sustainable transport consultant, Alexander Lewis-Jones lead the data analysis of The Shift. He says “This project has been a great opportunity to convert knowledge from the transport and power sectors and apply it to the day-to-day reality of London’s film production industry. I look forward to seeing these suppliers delivering fleet transitions over the coming years.” Film London Mayor of London WeAreALBERT We Are AdGreen #decarbonise #sustainability #film #TV #innovation

Forests Without Frontiers is our chosen charity for August 🌳 and one close to our co-director Kati Hall (AIEMA)'s heart. Kati has been lucky enough to attend tree planting and return to see them thriving at tree tending days at Wilderlands Farm (thanks to Locate Productions). We've seen first hand the care, expertise and passion with which FWF is run! With the aim of bringing nature back to life and people back to nature, FWF's approach blends culture and creativity with conservation. In partnership with local organisations and communities, they work in forests and other landscapes that need their help. A valuable asset to positive storytelling around nature restoration. https://lnkd.in/eP-wxxgD ✅ Every month of 2024, we are making a contribution to an environmental organisation, amplifying the efforts of these impactful groups. ✅ Did you know that only 2% of global charitable giving supports environmental organisations, as highlighted by Climeworks? ✅ We’d love to hear your thoughts on this projects and any others you think we should donate to, please let us know in the comments. #ClimateCrisis #EnvironmentalFunding #EveryLittleHelps #CreativeZeroCares

Our chosen charity for July is Renewable World ⚡ Over 21 million people in Kenya and Nepal don’t have access to energy; even where they are connected to the grid, supply is often unaffordable and unreliable. 💡 Renewable World works with communities in poverty to enable them to transform their lives through clean energy by giving them the tools, skills, systems and ownership to ensure lasting change. Projects include: - Installing solar water pumps and taps to improve water access for rural communities - Providing green power in remote areas to enable locals to have access to power at home and in order to earn a living. - Working with local social enterprises to help drive change in marginalised communities. ✅Only 2% of global charitable giving supports environmental organisations, as highlighted by the ClimateWorks Foundation ✅ Every month of 2024, we are making a contribution to a grassroots environmental organisation, amplifying the efforts of these small yet impactful groups. ✅ We’d love to hear your thoughts on this projects and any others you think we should donate to, please let us know in the comments #Renewableworld #RenewableEnergy #CharityImpact #EnvironmentalImpact #Grassroots #EveryLittleHelps #CreativeZeroCares

Have you been following our monthly giving? Poetic Unity - Clean Air for the Ends campaign was our choice for June, here’s why..... ▶ Air pollution is a social justice issue. ▶ Those whose health is the most affected contribute least to the causes. This Brixton based charity PoeticUnity https://lnkd.in/dG7z8P6g have been raising awareness of air pollution for two years with Live + Breathe- https://lnkd.in/gB5QsGbM ▶ Black residents are being exposed to more levels of illegal air pollution than any other ethnic group Their campaign promotes alternative travel for young Black and marginalised people from the Ends and making public transport free for London’s residents ▶ Approx 42,000 people die every year due to the effects of air pollution in the UK and Lambeth and Southwark have some of the worst air pollution levels in London. Only 2% of global charitable giving supports environmental organisations, as highlighted by the ClimateWorks Foundation. ✅ Every month in 2024, we are making a contribution to a grassroots environmental organisation; The Woodland Trust was our choice for May..... (They are a larger organisation than what we are looking to fund but given their live, important petition along with matching funds, we felt it right to bend this rule!) ✅ Through their Protect our Living Legends campaign they want to give the UK’s very oldest and most important trees legal protection – like endangered wildlife, castles and old buildings already have. ✅ Saving these trees is saving habitat for other species, along with the history and carbon capture that comes from the tree itself. ✅ Sign their petition here to protect our oldest trees: https://lnkd.in/gtDnRw7b ✅ The Woodland Trust are matching donations right now, so do consider joining us and having your contribution count for twice as much. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/e5BcWt9A. ✅ We’d love to hear your thoughts on this project and any others to which we should donate, please let us know in the comments. #WoodlandsTrust #CharityImpact #EnvironmentalImpact #Grassroots #ClimateCrisis #EnvironmentalFunding #LivingLegends #EveryLittleHelps #CreativeZeroCares #CharityCampaign #EnvironmentalImpact #CharityImpact #ProtectTrees
