Recently, we have had numerous requests to provide surveillance capabilities abroad. These tasks have themselves been challenging to mount logistically due to their locations, but also the technical aspect of data capture in complex environments. Vernon Griffiths and the quality of The Covert Group's kit has been known to us for some time - recently he has smashed it in relation to his customer support for us. He provided a variety of technical solutions (of which the performance is phenomenal), but with after care support like no other. It's comforting to find suppliers who understand the work and want to help it be as successful as possible. As well as our standard covert SV kit (key fobs, pens, power banks etc), we now provide short and long-term technical solutions that can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world. #RiskManagement #Surveillance #SecurityJobs

This week, we completed a complex surveillance task in an incredibly sensitive Middle East environment. This task required laser guided focus and dedication, with all parties involved having access to all the risk data and ultimately understanding the full range of potential consequences. The task was for an existing client, had it been a new client we would have turned it down. The mobilisation period was incredibly quick but was achieved due to our network and resources available to us. One of the main desired deliverables from surveillance is reporting facts, quickly – if it’s a mutli-agency team, this can get tricky. Leon Leckie is well known to Crown Consulting, being the original ‘Honduras team’ Ops Director - we have worked together for nearly a decade. For this task, we utilised The Operatives Group app, Leon’s purpose-built surveillance reporting app. Firstly, thank you Leon, it was a privilege and well done. Secondly, it worked really well for the team, a few early-day issues that were quickly rectified, we genuinely recommend the app. It made a challenging and stressful task easier, due to how user friendly it was. #Surveillance #Riskmanagement #Securityjobs  

This year is off to a flying start, what a fantastic and fun January! With projects in Vienna, Ukraine, South Africa, and Poland - internationally, we were kept very busy. At home, we have taken on two new clients and signed a major infrastructure consulting contract. 2025 is set to be a cracking year! Hard work pays off, but we're humble enough to recognise that we're only as good as our last job. With this in mind, its always really challenging to grow the team and bring on foreign service providers - but we are doing so and to great effect. A big shout out to Dave Jackson at TigerHorse International based in South Africa - they did a fantastic job for us on an armed EP job, and we highly recommend them. As an industry we're better together, this past month has proved that. Something we have tried to stay true to since our Honduras days (2020) - such a wealth of knowledge and experience culminated in a highly capable, none egotistical ops team. #protectiveservices #riskmanagement #securityjobs

The importance of client/principal relatonships in our industry is paramount. Not only do we need clients/principals to trust us, but we need to understand and know them. Yesterday we popped out to Poland with a client to talk about future plans. As we usually do when over there, we got the guns out. It was nice to spend quality time with a client we get on with really well, make plans and have fun at the same time - turns out he is quite the shot! Intrinsically, the bond between protectee and protector, after time will become more than just a professional relationship, friendships will form. Project Resources - our projects often require some real out of the box thinking. Our mission statement is 'to fortify and sustain, no matter the circumstance' - we will go the extra mile to ensure we honour this statement, it's what sets us apart. Recently, we took our pilot to an active conflict zone to get some flight time and tuition from foreign intelligence services, on how they have adapted their flying to ensure operational resilience. This was an invaluable trip which keeps our pilot very current. This translates to our service offering for our foreign government clients, where we advise on, and provide ISR services in contested and emerging conflict. What are your essential travel items? Our industry is well known for rapid deployments, meaning that we as individuals hone our packing skills and inventory. With resources spread around the world, we often find that our vehicles need some tender care - especially in the colder months. Last week we flew to our Europe office, for a short trip into Ukraine. This meant collecting one of our vehicles that is permanently stashed at the airport. The time of year, and the fact that we hadn't used this vehicle for a few months, meant that it would be a cold starter. We travel with a protable jump starter - it has been an essential carry item since we started working in Ukraine in 2022. Happy New Year everyone, today is likely the first working week of 2025 for most - we have just returned from our first foreign trip of the year and really looking forward to this year.
