📢 Calling all CSTD Graduates...join us on Thursday 28th November 2024, 7pm - 8pm for our first online CSTD Bath Graduates Conversation Hour! Here at CSTD, we are looking to develop and support our community of supervisors in new ways. To this end, we would like to invite you to join us to explore how this might happen. Initially, we see this as a space for us to chat about our experiences of supervising. In particular, we would like your views on supervision CPD – what you would find of interest, what you would like and what you would find useful? We see supervision CPD as a vital to ongoing development (and enjoyment!). This an opportunity to ask questions, tell us what CPD you would like, and enjoy some peer-to-peer conversation. The one-hour session will be hosted by CSTD tutors: Martin Capps and Lisa Nel. Register to join us here: https://lnkd.in/e834afsj This session will even count as one hour of CPD! Attendance Certificates will be sent after the event.

Enabling Individuals to Excel, in Workplaces where they can Thrive, because Sustaining a Great Culture Matters!

This is a great article in the TES by Heather Forrest about #ReflectiveSupervision for #teachers and #schoolLeaders and findings from a pilot project completed in Scotland. Well done Heather, as you know I share your passion and determination to see this in all education provisions in the UK. CSTD Bath Dr. Rachel Briggs Julia Hancock ACC Lisa Lea-Weston Faye McGuinness

Reflective Supervision within Education Reflective supervision is something I am deeply passionate about for all, no matter what profession they are in, however, this space is still not available consistently within education in Scotland. Despite this, we are starting to see pockets of this work being done and the impact is HUGE! Supervision creates a safe, collaborative space where teachers and anyone within education to pause, think critically about their practice, and explore their emotions, challenges, and successes. This process not only helps them grow professionally but also fosters self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection to their work. I believe that when educators have the opportunity to engage in reflective conversations, they unlock their potential to improve pupil outcomes and sustain their own well-being. It's a transformative tool for both personal and educational growth! I am lucky enough to supervise wonderful people from different sectors and professions and I see first hand the positive impact this has on them. I would love this to be available to everyone within the caring professions and beyond! Please share my article on reflective supervision within education, published in TES today! https://lnkd.in/eNGVnZ-C #reflectivesupervision #education #wellbeing

🌍 It's World Mental Health Day! At CSTD Bath we passionately believe that regular, reflective supervision for head teachers, safeguarding leads (and others) – who have become increasingly stretched beyond capacity, is a long over-due provision to support mental health in the workplace. We are proud to be part of the national movement developing training to offer this ethically and safely. If you are interested in expanding your practice for education settings, then join us for our new CPD workshop taking place on the 8/9 November 2024. To book your place email info@cstdbath.co.uk.
