CTPA Guidance ‘Special Considerations for Specific Product Types in the Cosmetic Product Safety Report’ Earlier this year, CTPA launched a new guidance titled ‘Special Considerations for Specific Product Types in the Cosmetic Product Safety Report’. This guidance aims to support cosmetic safety assessors and colleagues in regulatory affairs with additional safety considerations that must be taken into account and must be reported within the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) for some specific products, due to their formulation or site of application. Some examples of these specific product categories, and some important safety considerations, included within this guidance are: • Products presenting a suitable environment for microbial contamination • Traces and impurities • Stability of cosmetic products • Products intended for children under three years of age • Products containing nanomaterials • Products containing botanical ingredients or essential oils 👉 This guidance is available for both CTPA members and non-members. CTPA members can access this guidance for free; it is available to non-members for a payable fee of £90. 👉 Visit the "safety" tab on our "Publications" page https://lnkd.in/dP-_rd4B #cosmeticssafety #cosmeticproductsafetyreport #cosmeticsregulation

Throughout October, including during #RecycleWeek, CTPA is highlighting the importance of recycling beauty and personal care products and supporting the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) ‘Rescue Me’ campaign focusing on rescuing recyclable items from the rubbish bin. https://lnkd.in/epqQyqmP It is also very important to remember to dispose of 𝗮𝗹𝗹 bathroom waste responsibly. Some items of our personal care routines, such as make-up wipes and baby care wipes, are not designed to be flushed down the toilet and can cause lots of problems if they are disposed of that way. 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 put these types of wipes in the waste bin and not down the toilet. 👉 Visit CTPA’s consumer website thefactsabout.co.uk updated pages on cosmetics and toiletries recycling here: https://lnkd.in/eQwKkiPg 👉 Share our 'Recycling from the Bathroom' infographic here: https://lnkd.in/ezZiBqQs The infographic highlights in particular: 🔹 which packaging can be recycled 🔹 what to do with small packaging 🔹 where to find a “take-back scheme” drop-off point 🔹 how to dispose of wipes 👉 Follow CTPA throughout October to learn more and spread the word on recycling. #RecycleWeek2024 #Recycling #TakeBackScheme #Cosmetics #Sustainability
