  • Last week, the 2024 Toowoomba and Surat Basin Energy Summit took place in Dalby, Australia, with over 300 leaders from government and industry in attendance. David Smith, our Australia Country Head, joined a panel discussion facilitated by John Sheldon - Interim National Wind Farm Commissioner for the Australian Government, highlighting how clean energy projects like our 500MW Wambo Wind Farm can create significant benefits for the region, through boosting regional economies and creating local content and jobs. Cubico has been developing renewable energy projects in Australia since 2018 with a strong focus on the Eastern coast. With our Australian team growing rapidly, we hope to bring many more MW into operation. This ambition is supported by the valuable connections that TSBE links across industry business and opportunity. #EnergySummit #CleanEnergy #Collaboration

  • At the heart of our mission as a business, is a commitment to giving back and creating meaningful change in the communities where we operate. Last year, through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we invested over USD $2.5 million in community projects and charities globally. In Uruguay, we have been improving the quality of living and creating opportunities for the local community near our Kiyu wind farm in San José through a series of initiatives including: 🏀 Enhancing Public Spaces: Donating equipment and materials for the construction of sports courts and park benches, supporting active and healthy lifestyles. 👩🔧 Empowering Women: Supporting a craft centre in Kiyu that provides employment opportunities for female artisanal workers. 🎓 Improving Education Facilities: Contributing funds to the construction of a modern canteen at a school on the outskirts of Montevideo, benefiting hundreds of students. Our recently published ESG report highlights our dedication to community engagement, and our approach to partnerships and social development projects.
