A busy 24 hours in Cannes for Mapic last week, catching up with various collaborators and friends. Highlight of the trip was attending the MAPIC Awards with the lovely Niccolò Suardi and our wonderful hosts Praemia REIM 🙏 This year felt quieter than others but nevertheless retailers are, at worst, cautiously optimistic, and at best, downright elated about what 2025 might bring now the US election season is over. Really hoping next year the dates change go avoid Thanksgiving clash so we can see more American retailers too 💪

A pleasure to be reunited with ULI members in Barcelona this week. Carl-Johan Collet and Valentina Shegoyan put together a fantastic agenda for the first ever European Operational Real Estate product council. Thank you for having us and for all your efforts to make this an inspiring day. We took a look at one of Barcelona’s best buildings Mirador Torre Glòries owned by the formidable MERLIN Properties and we learnt about LOOM their flex office service. It was an absolute pleasure meeting the wonderful Elizabeth Vaamonde de Villoria MRICS a fellow Venezuelan who explained the transformation Barcelona’s innovation district has gone through in the past eight years with such passion it was contagious. We also visited aparto Student at the edge of District 22@ and listened to Vanessa Gelado as she described the journey Hines have been on to develop this platform in Spain. My highlight of the day of course has to be seeing the retail ‘team’ aka the fun council just as they finished visiting the newly opened TimeOut Market @Maremagnum Although I couldn’t clone myself for the day I was so happy to see everyone especially Dr Angelus Bernreuther and Miguel Lainez for a special speech 👀 Onto the next adventure! #operationalrealestate #realestate #retail #retaileralestate

We were pleased to see a great turnout at the Little Village warehouse launch in Wandsworth yesterday. Curate Ventures have partnered with Little Village to help secure new hubs and find a long term home for their warehousing needs.
