What a fantastic cultural exchange opportunity for us, The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection and the teachers and creative practitioners from Hong Kong. We hope their trip to the UK has given them the energy and drive to implement key planning and strategies back in their schools. We look forward to continuing working with them on this cultural leadership journey. Thank you to Southbank Centre and Hayward Gallery for their hospitality.

Tackling unequal access to creativity and culture for children and young people in the North of England.
About us
Our vision is for a future where being creative and experiencing brilliant culture is a regular part of every child’s learning and life. Powered by curiosity, we work to tackle unequal access to creativity and culture for children and young people who are often excluded by social and economic inequalities. Driving all our work is the belief that, with the right support and space to innovate, the cultural sector can play a greater role in making the North of England the best place for children and young people to grow up and achieve their potential.

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Labour MP for Holborn and St Pancras and Leader of the Labour Party. Former Director of Public Prosecutions.
Our music, our films, our games, our fashion, our literature – what we produce is known and loved in every corner of the globe. The creative industries are essential for our economic growth, generating £125 billion a year and employing 2.4 million people. Today the 68th British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival kicks off - an opportunity for us to celebrate our incredible film industry. And today we’re backing them with tax reliefs to create more indie films right here in the UK. Independent film productions with a budget up to £15 million will benefit from an increased tax relief of 53%. Film and the creative industries are a key part of my government’s mission to grow the economy in all parts of the UK and we will continue to ensure they have what they need to flourish.

Great to be at Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds today with arts and heritage professionals from across the North of England, for our course I'm A Teenager, Get Me Into There. We're thinking about how just a few small adjustments to our public spaces can result in young people feeling welcome and valued.
