CVS Inverclyde supports and represents the third sector within Inverclyde. We work to support organisations to achieve their aims by working with them to help them overcome barriers and plan their future development. We support organisations to attract funding, manage their finances, engage with public sector partners, meet their legal requirements, have a positive approach to equalities and take their communities and people with them.

  • CVS Inverclyde are delighted to offer a workshop for new regulated organisations. This workshop is aimed at any new community organisations who are struggling to move forward with their organisation. In this session we will cover business planning, funding, trading and governance, with the opportunity to meet with the experts at the end of this session.   • Ardgowan Hospice is the first hospice in Scotland to take part in ‘Volunteer to Career’ - a programme funded by Hospice UK and Helpforce which aims to support the professional development and recruitment of volunteers who are considering a career in healthcare by allowing them practical exposure to a healthcare environment. They are looking for caring, dedicated and passionate volunteers (aged 18 and over) who wish to gain first-hand experience in the role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA). -No prior experience or formal qualification needed. -Must obtain a Disclosure Scotland check (PVG) before starting the programme. -Must be willing to volunteer for approximately four hours per week.   • CVS Inverclyde would like to express our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Margaret Tait. A true champion of the local community. Most recently the Chair of Your Voice Inverclyde, she worked tirelessly across the third sector and was instrumental in setting up the organisation. Margaret has left a huge impact on Inverclyde and we thank her for her unwavering commitment to improving lives.

  • CVS Inverclyde has developed two free e-learning courses available to access on the TSI Scotland Learning Portal. Supporting Young Volunteers is an interactive e-learning module designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to successfully recruit, engage, and support young volunteers. Step into Volunteering is an e-module for those volunteering or thinking about volunteering to learn more about the role of a volunteer and what steps are needed to prepare themselves for their first days in the role.
