🚴♀️ What if one small change could transform your health and well-being? We all want to feel stronger, healthier, and full of energy, but getting started can feel overwhelming. The truth is, when we find something we love, that feels good and fits into our lives, staying active becomes easier! For Fatima, that life-changing activity was cycling. 🌟 Fatima’s journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we take control of our health: Despite suffering from arthritic knees, she feared that exercise might make things worse. Instead, she discovered that cycling eased her pain, improved her fitness, and gave her valuable “me time." She even says it has made her a happier mother. 💛 Now, she’s inspiring others to live actively: Fatima’s love for cycling has spread to her children, turning it into a family activity that keeps them all moving together. By embracing an active lifestyle, she’s passing down good habits to the next generation! 🚴♀️ Imagine what’s possible if more women had access to this opportunity. By supporting ‘Sponsor a Sister’, you’re helping women like Fatima take charge of their health, fitness, and future. Your support provides rides, lessons, and training, making cycling accessible to more women! 💻 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/eTBu3BtP #SponsorASister #CycleSisters

It’s #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek, and as someone who was diagnosed with autism as an adult, I’ve been reflecting on what that means for me personally and for my work at Cycle Sisters UK. Since getting the diagnosis, I’m still learning new things about autism all the time, but it has already helped me make sense of so many things - such as why I'm able to pursue things I care about with an intense focus and energy, why I struggle so much in certain environments, and why I experience frequent burnouts. Last year, I wrote about my experiences of how cycling has hugely benefitted me as an autistic woman: https://lnkd.in/eC9ZQZ85 The response to the blog has been incredible, with so many people sharing how they related to different aspects of it - whether it's the joy of a passionate interest in cycling, the challenges of sensory overload, or the way cycling can provide a sense of control in an overwhelming world. Many neurodivergent women have gone through life undiagnosed or misdiagnosed simply because they don’t fit the stereotypes. They’ve often had to navigate challenges quietly, forcing themselves to adapt in ways that often come at a huge personal cost. Over recent months, we’ve been listening to the experiences of neurodivergent women in our cycling community and using that feedback to explore how our rides and activities at Cycle Sisters can be more neuro-inclusive. There’s still a lot for us to learn and figure out, but I’m excited to see how our work in this area evolves. If you have thoughts or experiences around neurodiversity and cycling, I’d love to hear them! #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek #Autism #Cycling #Neurodiversity #Inclusion

🚴♀️ Meet Memuna from Hounslow 💬 This Ramadan, as part of our ‘Sponsor a Sister’ fundraiser, we’re sharing stories of women whose lives and health have been transformed through cycling with Cycle Sisters. 💪 Cycling has changed Memuna's life: “Cycling is now a key part of my life… I go out at least three times a week. I have encouraged at least four female members of my family who ‘in their wildest dreams’ would never have started cycling … we just find it so LIBERATING!” 💛 And she credits the Cycle Sisters community for making it possible: “Cycle Sisters Ride Leaders are ALL inspiring and great role models.” By supporting ‘Sponsor a Sister,’ you can help more women like Memuna enjoy the life-changing benefits of cycling. Every donation counts. Donate now: https://lnkd.in/edCiFCUP

🌟 This Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re shining a light on the experiences of some of our incredible neurodivergent Ride Leaders! Inclusion is at the heart of Cycle Sisters, rooted in the principles of our faith: "People, We created you all from a single man and a single woman, and made you into races and tribes so that you should get to know one another" (Qur’an 49:13) Neurodiversity is a beautiful reflection of God’s creation, and we are committed to creating a space where every woman feels valued, respected, and supported to enjoy the joy of cycling. 🚴♀️ #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek #NeurodiversityWeek #NCW #ThisIsND

I’d love for you to consider supporting Cycle Sisters UK's Ramadan campaign! Too many Muslim women experience health and other inequalities. Every day we see how cycling can transform lives - it's not just a way to get around or keep fit: cycling can mean freedom, confidence and community. But not everyone has the same opportunity to experience these benefits. As a small charity, we work hard to ensure our women-only cycle rides are free and accessible so that cost is never a barrier. But as many of you will know first-hand, the current funding landscape is incredibly challenging. So far, we’ve raised £817 (including offline donations) but we’re aiming for £5000 this Ramadan to support even more women to discover the joy of cycling. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference! If you can, please consider donating or sharing this with others who might want to help. 👉 Donate here: https://lnkd.in/edCiFCUP Thank you for being part of our journey! 💛 #SponsorASister #Ramadan2025 #CycleSisters
