In 1908, thousands of women marched through New York's streets – not for recognition, but for survival. Their courageous action was the start of International Women's Day. In doing so, these ordinary women were the first to 'ACCELERATE ACTION' and this March 8th, CYS will be exploring how modern business can honour their revolutionary spirit. Look out for it here #IWD2025 #BusinessTransformation"

CYS PEOPLE Security officers are the unsung heroes of the frontline - often underpaid, largely overlooked, yet relied upon when it matters most. COVID saw them standing firm while others stayed home, but once the crisis passed, so did the applause. While most of us sleep, officers like Daniel Link - ‘Linky’ who is one of our brilliant mobile team, are out there - patrolling in the dark, watching over empty buildings, and deterring threats before they happen. Their work is rarely noticed, because when they do their job well, nothing happens. But that’s the point. Security isn’t just about reacting to danger; it’s mostly about preventing it. And yet, the ones who stand guard seem invisible - until something goes wrong. Their job is to make split-second decisions in moments of extreme stress, yet hindsight often judges them without the weight of that pressure. They deter danger before it happens, de-escalate with little thanks, and hold the line when others step back. At CYS Security, we see them. We hugely value and appreciate them. Because without them, the world can go horribly wrong. #UnsungHeroes #SecurityMatters #FrontlineProtection #CYSSecurity

As we know the UK’s new Procurement Act 2023 comes into effect on 24th February, replacing existing public sector procurement rules. We are told that it will encourage greater emphasis on value for money, transparency, and most notably - social value. Of course, we’ve all seen the importance of evidencing our wider impact on the communities we serve increase over the last few years; such as supporting local employment, safeguarding vulnerable communities, and integrating technology responsibly. Whilst the changes only apply to selling into the public sector, we have seen that the private sector is also preparing for these changes. It will be interesting to see how contracting authorities interpret these changes and how this also impacts our wider tendering activity into the private sector in the future. This helpful video shows how SMEs should prepare for enhanced supplier registration, with a new digital platform streamlining qualification processes. This could make it easier to bid for contracts while ensuring higher scrutiny of past performance. CYS Security has spent years navigating public sector procurement, and we welcome the reforms that encourage fairness and efficiency. As the transition unfolds, we’ll be watching closely - ready to adapt and continue delivering the highest standards in security. What are your thoughts on the new Procurement Act? Do you see it as an opportunity for positive change? https://lnkd.in/eDhMX_dU
