The residents here have repeatedly reported incidents of furniture being moved and “objects thrown across the room”. A frightening occurrence that would cause havoc to your mind, let alone your belongings! It could get even more frightening if you're not covered for accidental damage on your insurance policy. According to Gocompare, they reviewed 364 home contents insurance policies and found that just 75 provide accidental damage to contents as standard. The same research also revealed that 30% of home insurance policies do not cover accidental breakage of glass and mirrors as standard. So it may be worth checking your policy just in case you're in for a frightening surprise this Halloween... 👻 Puppy poltergeists: Ham House in London is said to have a paranormal puppy in residence that runs through the corridors of the stately home looking for its owner, the Duchess of Lauderdale. Can a puppy really be that scary? We wouldn't fancy finding out. But also if you did happen to have a ghoulish Golden Retriever or Great Dane raising hell with your soft furnishings – would you be covered?! Not everyone would be according to GoCompare. They again analysed 364 home contents insurance policies and found that only 16 cover damage caused by domestic pets as standard. Not great news for those who have ghostly dogs running amok. The Transport Secretary has pledged to fix an additional 1 million potholes a year using new repair technology 🕳️ The pothole ‘plague’ has become a bit of a pain for Britain to say the least - potholes delay journeys, put the lives of drivers and cyclists at risk, and damage vehicles too 🚘 Blackpool Council is leading the way with pothole repairs, utilising new high-definition imagery technology to repair potholes faster, a method which is hoped to be replicated across the UK.
