Last day of East Asia Regional Council of Schools Leadership Conference 2024 with Younes Al Akhir! This year's theme is Belonging and Becoming. I couldn't think of a theme more related to our work at DAIGON Esports. "Being part of a team and building a bond with their peers is a very singular school experience that not all students get to enjoy, so it is wonderful that these students get that chance" - Phil Willis, Nadeen School That's one of the quotes from our COBIS - Council of British International Schools competition case study that we shared over and over again these past few days. We've had an overwhelming amount of interest and great conversations, esports is picking up steam in international schools across SE Asia and we look forward to working alongside amazing educators to keep pushing the envelope for all students. A few days in Malta. Attending PLAYCON with DAIGON Esports and visiting our new office in Malta at the home of GamingMalta at Basecamp. As always with Malta, the hospitality and welcome from our new friends here has been overwhelming. Thanks to so many people for making me so welcome Adam Gatt Ivan Filletti Chris Cachia Kersten Chircop Adrian Caruana Shaun Vassallo Dan Licari Melanie Debattista Mark Bugeja DAIGON even got a name check from the minister for the economy in Malta during a great keynote Silvio Schembri and some great other talks including the fascinating Emily Bailey As we deepen our commitment to and within Malta, DAIGON has been so privileged to be introduced to this beautiful, friendly, go getting island and it’s people. We hope to continue to build friendships, recruit local talent and host great events here….. 👀 Hopefully Elliot Mack and Younes Al Akhir are enjoying their holiday in Bangkok ;-). I was sorry to miss the East Asia Regional Council of Schools event as it’s always great to catch up with Michael Iannini David Burke Ewen Bailey John Cannon Ian Hunter and so many others.

Great to get the #UAE #MinecraftEDU #esports league up and running today with DAIGON Esports! Amity International School Abu Dhabi’s first outing was a match against GEMS World Academy, Abu Dhabi which was a fair and fitting fixture ending in an overall draw. Looking forward to seeing how the students develop across a range of skills that #esports offers in the coming term!
