🎉 Celebrating a Decade of Innovation and Dialogue: Data for Policy CIC Turns 10! 🎉 Today, we proudly celebrate our 10th anniversary! Since our inception in 2014, Data for Policy CIC has evolved into a dynamic community dedicated to advancing the role of data, AI, and emerging technologies in governance and policymaking. From our first conference at the University of Cambridge in 2015 to our recent gathering at Imperial College London, which focused on Trustworthy Governance with AI? and featured over 130 presenters across three days, we have facilitated vital conversations among academics, policymakers, and industry leaders. In 2019, we launched the Data & Policy Journal to publish peer-reviewed research that connects theoretical frameworks with practical applications, making it a critical resource for both scholars and practitioners navigating the complexities of data and policy. Our regional events in 2022—held in locations like Hong Kong, Seattle, and Brussels—allowed us to engage with local experts and address specific challenges faced in different contexts. In same year, we also initiated our Equity Initiative Programme with the support of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aimed at increasing participation from underrepresented regions, ensuring that diverse voices contribute to the global dialogue on data policy. As we reflect on our journey, 📺 we invite you to watch our special 10th-anniversary video on our YouTube channel, highlighting key moments and featuring insights from those who have shaped our community. 🔗https://lnkd.in/euDwUVdR Here’s to continuing our mission to harness technology for the public good ! #DataforPolicy #10thAnniversary #AI #Policymaking #Innovation #Governance #DataScience #AIforpublicgood #EmergingTechnologies University of Cambridge Cambridge University Press & Assessment The Alan Turing Institute UCL Imperial College London Data Science Institute at Imperial College London The Lisbon Council The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Validate AI CIC Office for National Statistics CSaP - Centre for Science and Policy, University of Cambridge UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, University of Washington Microsoft The Governance Lab Smart Data Research UK Zeynep Engin, PhD Jon Crowcroft Stefaan Verhulst, PhD David Hand Emily Gardner Andrew Hyde
