Mark Watkins Rick Foti Matt Eckersall Kate Bayliss Edward Stanley Denis Haman Tony Dolan Michael Oliver Tom Woods Ian Spatz A facinating discussion with industry players and experts about the need for the industry to reinvent itself given the erosion of traditional revenue streams , competition from Big Tech ("they are eating our lunch") Important challenges were discussed - e.g. Content monetisation, Vaue of the 1st party data , what does Personalisation mean, importance of quality content. Technology , AI and GenAI have an important role to play in addressing these issues, crafting new business models but also in addressing current cost challenges - automating mundane manual tasks, offer new tools for content management , to enhance creative process, improve productivity allowing to focus on the differentiation A practical side of adopting GenAI at acceptable cost was discussed by customers with some great examples of trade offs - e.g. Amazon Titan does a good enough job with images at low cost; use of Bedrock ensures security and control over data which is essential #aws #publishing #media #reply #genai #ai
