Top 10 MPS Investment Providers this year according to Defaqto. No real surprises on this list apart from Knutsford based Rockhold Asset Management. A company to watch out for.

PE House Oaktree Capital, which also owns advice and wealth groups Ascot Lloyd and Atomos are in 'exclusivity talks' with Close Brothers Asset Management.  As far as I'm aware, there are only three BDDs (or equivalent) at Atomos so if this went through then hopefully the distribution team at CBAM would remain largely intact.

Great article put together by Brendan Llewellyn regarding the BDM Benchmark Report in the Professional Adviser. I love this comment from one Financial Adviser: "I have multiple BDMs and they range from being 'awesome' to 'useless'. The awesome BDMs are quick to answer questions, know their stuff, and give hints and tips. The useless BDMs are slow to respond, need to go and check with someone else, give vague answers and shy away from discussing client's circumstances and how their product/service can help" Now that there is clear evidence of what Financial Adviser's look for from their BDMs, there shouldn't really be any excuse for provider's having 'useless BDMs'!
