𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲 – 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁! In January 2024, Carnevale took delivery of four customised 7.2-t Iveco Daily vehicles, which met their specific temperature-controlled distribution requirements, from our Branch Sales Manager, David Billington. However, in mid-April, we were advised that the vehicles had been written off due to an arson attack. To minimise the impact of this event, Dave and his team quickly managed to source in-fleet Iveco vehicles that had been de-hired from another contract, which were repaired, relocated, serviced, cleaned, and delivered to Carnevale by the second week of May. The DP World company, Imperial Logistics International, has taken delivery of a Volvo FM Electric 4x2 tractor unit. Supplied by Dawsongroup truck and trailer on a four-year contract hire agreement, the vehicle is part of a programme to review alternative fuels. 🌱 🗣️ Operations director, Neil Herring, said: “The ever-closer end of the diesel engine in transport, probably now just a couple of fleet renewals away for many operators, means we need to be ready for the future. Already, our intensive operations at Oxford for a major automotive company mean we cannot sit back and wait for others to lead the way.
