#Team Quest: From Champions to Game Changers – Our Journey Through Daytopia I couldn't be the Daytopia Champion 😌 ! Yes, you read that right. Daytopia, a four-week virtual presentation competition, was an intense and thrilling experience where points were accumulated each week, ultimately determining the winner. Although I wasn’t selected as the Daytopia Champion — the top presenter of the competition — my team, Team Quest, emerged as the overall winners! 🎉 From the beginning, Team Quest set the bar high, topping the leaderboard each week and staying ahead of the competition. Our hard work paid off as we maintained our lead and ended up winning the entire competition. But the road wasn’t easy. Every team started bringing their A-game, and by the second week, the competition intensified. Teams like Team Trailblazers and Team Mavericks closed the gap, challenging us to stay ahead. The third week was a real wake-up call — we ended up in sixth place! Suddenly, every other team had one goal: to knock down Team Quest. It was a humbling experience, but also incredibly motivating. We bounced back, kept pushing forward, and although Team Mavericks gave us a run for our money with their creative Netflix-inspired slide (that was insane!), we held strong. In the final week, it all came down to the wire. Our business pitch earned 80 points, while Team Mavericks scored 88. The final scoreboard? Team Quest: 344, and Team Mavericks: 343 — just a single point between us! 😅 In the end, we emerged victorious as the Daytopia champions. It wasn’t just our hard work that got us there, but the dedication, teamwork, and those countless all-nighters we pulled together. 💪🏽 A big shout-out to my amazing teammates who made this journey unforgettable: Daniel Abioye, FMVA®, Joy Adejoh, and Ayodeji Fadunmoye. Also, a huge thanks to the organizers of Daytopia Daytopia Mentoring Network for creating such a competitive and inspiring environment. This competition was not just about winning but setting a standard for improvement and pushing ourselves to new limits. Here’s to the journey, the lessons learned, and the excitement of the next challenge!

Kicking off the new month without reflecting on the milestones 🏆I have achieved in the last few months would surely feel like an injustice to my motivation. I must say, the past few months have been among the most taxing times of my life 😓, filled with numerous activities and goals to complete. One experience that remains fresh in my mind is indisputably The Daytopia Competition S4😊. Suffice it to say, I had the honor of participating in this highly rewarding, fun🤩 , eye-opening, yet demanding 😥 competition organized by Daytopia Mentoring Network To top it all off, I took on the mantle of leading my team, 🏅Team Mavericks, which seriously pushed me to my limits. At the end of this exciting and challenging experience, I can boldly say that: • I learned how to communicate effectively with my teammates to facilitate the timely completion of tasks💪. • I had the opportunity to work with and compete against brilliant minds, encountering many remarkable ideas 💡. • With the help of my amazing teammates, I led Team Mavericks to a second-place finish—Team Quest certainly felt the heat behind them! 😂 • I became a better presenter through this competition, emerging as the best presenter during the business pitch week.😎 • I improved my research and PowerPoint skills and learned how to calculate, convey, and interpret important financial metrics for a business.📉 • My team pitched the best business idea in the competition.🚀 ……..And the list goes on. Although the competition lasted just four weeks, its impact will be felt for years to come. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my teammates Solomon Ebidame, Charles Olagunju and Ore Agboola. Without their collaboration, this achievement would not have been possible for me😊. To the Daytopians I was privileged to network with: Oluwasolafunmi Adesina, Ayodeji Fadunmoye,Peace Ayoola,Etuk Peace, Daniel Abioye, FMVA®, Confidence Akinyemi, Promise Aguda, AAT, ACA,Chisom Ikejiaku,Victor Oladepo,Faizah Ololade JAJI,Moyosore Okunowo, Eniola Oyebode,Shodimu Timileyin,Peace Ibidun Adegoke,Chioma Adekoya, AAT, ACA to mention but a few. I enjoyed every moment of it. As we say in Daytopia, “everybody is a winner!” 😊 Deepest thanks to Sope Okunowo for his wonderful mentorship😊. I can’t thank you enough. Of course, I would like to express special gratitude to the mentors: Dr Awosanya Adejumoke for her kind words and encouragement🤗💙, Mr Ridwan Giwa CA, DIP.IFR (ACCA), FMVA® for his thought-provoking questions and constructive feedback🥵 (I was left speechless at some points), Dr. Yusuff Awosanya, ACCA, DIPFA for his fatherly, insightful, and impactful appraisals 🙇♂️ , Mentor Lukman Yusuf, Mentor Blessing Okoro, MBA, Mentor Subomi David and other mentors for their numerous support. About 8 weeks ago, I made a very big decision! ...choosing to participate in the Daytopia Mentoring Network Competition was that decision! At first, I wasn’t sure I could do it because I realized it was really going to stretch me, But I decided to give it a try (after all, You miss 100% of a shot you don't take, right?), So, it all began, We were grouped into teams of four, and I had wonderful team members, Adebukola, Eniola and Etuk Peace - Team Trailblazers. and I decided to take the lead. ( It was also my first time leading a team) The competition lasted four weeks with four tough rounds of research and presentations. Each round helped me grow; I got better and more confident as a presenter and even a leader; It honestly wasn’t easy managing the team, coordinating research, and making the presentation slides, but it was all worth it. The competition was fierce with 14 teams, but what I loved most was how my creative mind was given full expression. My team was always the one shaking things up, and Chisom (the project coordinator) would say, "The trailblazers have set the competition ablaze!" In the end, we finished 3rd place out of 14 teams, and It was an honour to be awarded the "Most Helpful and Engaging Team Lead" alongside Promise. The whole journey pushed my limits and left me a different person! And that's the journey to Growth - always challenging but worth it! The fun, the pressure, and all the hard work paid off! A big thank you to the organizers Dr. Yusuff Awosanya, ACCA, DIPFA ,Dr Awosanya Adejumoke and mentors for all their support. Daytopia is truly a great platform for growth. If you’re looking for a place to grow, look no further, This is it https://daytopia.ng/#GROWTH!
