✨ With just a few days to go, the pioneers behind this year show took to Interior Design Business Podcast to share their excitement and insights on what’s in store... 🗣 Event Manager Carly Barclay says, “We’re excited for new brands like FLOOR_STORY and Comité Bellecour as well as welcoming back Fromental Design and Nulty Bespoke ....The Making Spaces area will feature artisan workshops, giving visitors hands-on experiences right on the show floor.” 🗣 Sam Fisher, Event Director, adds, “This year’s bar, designed by BradyWilliams is a stunning departure with a hospitality focus. Expect futuristic silvers and greens, and 200 origami hummingbirds raising money for Furnishing Futures" Shayne Brady reveals, “Designing the main bar has been an exciting challenge. Drawing inspiration from Japan, we created a ripple effect—a small design that can make a big difference, impacting lives through our partnership with Furnishing Futures. It’s design with purpose.” 👩🎨 Tim Butcher of Fromental Design shares, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Decorex for the Making Spaces installation. 🤝Our Event Director on the Exciting Collaborations at Decorex 2024 At Decorex, collaborations are the heart of what makes our event truly special. As Sam Fisher, our Event Director, shared on the Business and Interiors Podcast: "Collaborations, I'd say, are the most fun part of my job... this year we have so many exciting partnerships lined up to create unique, memorable experiences for our audience." 🎨 This year, we're changing things up in a big way. We’re thrilled to be working with YesColours, a sustainable paint brand, to create a multi-disciplinary space that’s unlike anything you've seen at Decorex before. As Sam says, "Very different to last year, but that's what we want — to create a buzz and offer different experiences every single year." 👩🎨 Our entrance feature will be crafted by The New Craftsmen, incorporating traditional basket weaving to set the tone for the event. In the Making Spaces area, we’ve partnered with Fromental, known for their stunning, beautifully crafted wallpapers. Visitors can get hands-on this year with workshops designed to engage and inspire. 🗣 Our Talks Programme has been expanded to feature over 85 speakers across the four days. "Every session is packed out," Sam notes. "We've had to expand the space this year after last year’s crowds left people sitting on the floor!" From sustainability and AI to international design, our fresh line-up of speakers will cover the topics shaping the future of our industry. ☕ We’re also growing our Café and Bar experiences, which have now expanded across two halls, providing even more spaces to relax and connect. The Making Spaces initiative continues to support artisans and emerging makers, giving them a platform they might not normally have. This year, we’re excited to see over 10+ artisans returning for 'Making Spaces - The Next Chapter,' offering new textures, art, and craftsmanship.
