Sunday’s closing ceremony was a wonderful ending to two weeks of athletic excellence and people coming together in Paris. Music has been ever present throughout the games and the songs that echoed from Stade de France saw a big boost in streams on Deezer following this weekend. French pop rock band Phoenix saw an increase of 578% in streams on Monday, with streams for their 2009 hit Lisztomania rising by 506%. Their performance of Tonight featuring Ezra Koenig led to the song’s streaming numbers growing by 818%. Zaho de Sagazan’s interpretation of Edith Piaf’s Sous le Ciel de Paris brought on an impressive surge in streams for the classic French song (+946%), reaching its highest number of streams in the past year. We have now released our results for the first half of 2024, reporting 14.9% revenue growth, a record performance and an increased Adjusted EBITDA target for the year.
