We are delighted to announce that Catherine's Originals is the newest brand to join Deliveroo Hop 🍫 Catherine, the founder of a vegan chocolate brand, began her journey with Deliveroo as a rider at just 18 years old. Whilst riding she launched her brand and later went on to win a grant in our ‘Big Pitch’ competition. This allowed Catherine and her partner Jamie to take their business to the next level, moving from Catherine’s parents’ kitchen to their own factory in Arundel, West Sussex. Deliveroo’s ‘Big Pitch’ gives riders the chance to present their business ideas and turn them into reality. We're excited to announce the relaunch of this initiative this month, creating more opportunities for businesses like Catherine’s Originals to thrive.

Tackling food insecurity together 👊 💙 From packing 4,000 meals to delivering two truckloads of food to those in need, the UK&I Hyperlocal and Value Marketing teams recently spent (a very busy!) morning volunteering at The Felix Project’s Poplar warehouse. Deliveroo is proud to support initiatives that make a genuine difference to communities, and The Felix Project is a great example of this. This amazing charity is committed to tackling hunger – redistributing surplus food to vulnerable families, the homeless and the elderly across London. Last year, they provided the equivalent of 32 million meals to communities and schools across every London borough 👏 A huge thank you to The Felix Project for the opportunity – and for the team getting stuck in! 🙌

An amazing day for an amazing cause 🙌💙 Our COO Eric French and his team put their annual volunteer day to good use, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities on their mission to support families with seriously ill children. The team spent the day at Evelina House near Evelina London Children’s Hospital – a ‘home away from home’ for families, allowing them to stay together and be close to their hospitalised loved ones. After a tour of the house, everyone rolled up their sleeves to get cleaning 🧽– so staff could prepare rooms quickly, and help new families settle in as soon as possible. A volunteering day well spent 👏
