We are Demelza. Today, we unveiled our new branding as part of our strategic ambition and commitment to reaching more children and families who need us. This evening, we are delighted to share our brand film, narrated by actor and long-term supporter Daniel Radcliffe, which depicts the extraordinary care that Demelza strives to provide for extraordinary children - every minute of every day, every single night, every day of the year – to a backdrop of ‘Every Breath You Take’, performed by Kent singer-songwriter Katie Kittermaster. Daniel, who is a Demelza Vice President, said: “Demelza is a charity very close to my heart, having been a supporter for many years now. Their work is crucial; they’re here to make sure that children and their families make the most of every single moment - from first diagnosis, for as long as needed. We're delighted to share that Demelza Trustee, Sir Richard Douglas has been knighted by Ann, Princess Royal, at Buckingham Palace for service to the NHS! 👏 Sir Richard has been a trustee at #Demelza since 2022, sitting on the board as Treasurer Chair of People, on the Culture and Resources Committee and as GDPR Lead and Whistleblowing Trustee. He attended Buckingham Palace last month, where he received his knighthood in an exclusive ceremony. CEO Lavinia Jarrett says of the occasion: "We would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to Sir Richard on his Knighthood. 🎉 "We are extremely privileged to have Sir Richard as a Treasurer and Trustee; he is a huge asset to our Board. After nearly three years, the partnership between Morrisons and Together for Short Lives has now come to an end, raising an incredible £10,722,514! 🎉👏 Since its inception in February 2022, this collaboration has played a crucial role in helping with funding at children's hospices, including Demelza. Thanks to this partnership, an incredible 215,685 hours of hospice care have been provided nationwide to families in need. 💙 Thank you to all Morrisons colleagues, customers, and suppliers for their unwavering support - it's thanks to you that we are able to be there for families from first diagnosis and for as long as we are needed.
