We recently delivered scenario based simulation apps to Transport for Wales for their new Class 197 units. By setting the train state for each scenario, drivers can access the specific procedures they need to practice easily and more often. A common discussion point, during our recent visit to InnoTrans, was on the lack of qualified drivers and how the industry can attract more and accelerate training. In our latest blog we look at the practical steps to accelerate driver training ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eY-AgWRA Q. How are you addressing the shortage of qualified drivers in your organisation?
The question from Innotrans. How do we train more drivers more quickly?

Some trains and takeaways from #InnoTrans2024
Last afternoon of InnoTrans and I got time to go see some trains. It’s been a great visit with lots to follow up on. Some thoughts as I head home. ● AI is really in its early days for the rail industry. It needs a lot more collaboration with rail operators and existing suppliers to determine the applications that will add real value ● The need to train more drivers - and quicker- is a global requirement ● The industry seems much more switched on to training innovation and collaboration than in previous years- perhaps driven by the need to recruit more and changes in working practices as a result of Covid? ● The Siemens stand should have its own postcode Until next time. #InnoTrans2024

Very impressive NSW TrainLink trains on show InnoTrans. New trains mean new training programmes and planning to reduce skills fade over time. That’s what we do here at Denova with simulation for tablets, phones and virtual reality. For more information on how we can help rail training design in Australia and New Zealand please contact Graham Force #InnoTrans2024
