Through the National Green Theatres Programme, we are working with NHS Scotland to reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and create more environmentally friendly surgical practices. Green Theatre Teams across Scotland are leading the way by improving recycling, reducing single-use plastics, and making smarter choices about energy use and anaesthetic gases. Their efforts are helping to make operating theatres more sustainable while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Calling all innovators, healthcare professionals, health and social care practitioners, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in the connection between our health and the health of our planet! The wonderfully talented Paul Rodgers and team behind Design HOPES (Healthy Organisations in a Place-based Ecosystem, Scotland) are bringing their hugely successful V&A Dundee exhibition to the Technology & Innovation Centre at University of Strathclyde and there are still some tickets remaining for the preview night! The exhibition explores the idea that the climate emergency is a health emergency.
