Whilst we were at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington earlier this week we took the opportunity to also see The Bailey's Hotel Kensington. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the Hotel and is ideal for overspill bedrooms and of course in its own right!. We loved the boutique feel of the Hotel and there was some great old photos and memorabilia on show, showcasing local areas, with four themes across each floor. They were representing South Kensington, Kew, Henley and City Gent. The Hotel has a small meeting room called the 'Rear Window' named after the Alfred Hitchcock film and who used to stay at the Hotel on a regular basis. The Hotel is named after the original owner Mr Bailey with photographs of him appearing in every room. Apparently the creators of Bailey's Irish Cream took the name from the Hotel! Yesterday we held our off site team meeting at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel. We hold these meetings every few months so that we can spend some time away from the office working in a different environment and taking the time to discuss our marketing strategy. It is also a great opportunity to see and experience a venue at the same time! The Millennium Gloucester very kindly offered to host our February meeting. We were looked after so well, ate too much😀 and had a thorough tour of the Hotel and the Bailey's Hotel (more on that Hotel in another post) The Hotel is in a great location just minutes from Gloucester Road tube station and only 20 minutes by tube from Heathrow - one to remember for the international guests. It was great to be reminded about the conference facilities the Hotel has and the service was fantastic. We were particularly keen to hear about the green initiatives the Hotel offers including the Bottled mineral water served in a plant based bottle with water fountains available for these to be refilled. Thank you so much for organising Philippa Suares, Aurelia D'Souza and lovely to catch up with Cipriano Silva again!
