Is there anything better than spending one of the warmest days of summer so far with some positivity and growth strategy? I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Custer -Business and Branding Photography for the second part of the Clarity & Growth Session he won at the Moray Business Showcase. Together we worked on a strategy to help him grow further and reach a broader audience with his fantastic commercial work and his wedding photograpy at Fitlike Photography https://lnkd.in/eSXqUE3s I would also like to thank Alison Read and the Lossiemouth Community Development Trust for providing a great meeting space that was perfect for our needs! I will certainly be booking again! Thank you Mike for your trust and look forward to catching up soon and hearing about your progress!! If you wonder how these sessions work and how they can help your business grow, let's have a chat! https://lnkd.in/emjYHSEQ #togetherwegrow #scottishbusiness #scottishentrepreneurs

Extremely interesting insight into the Emirati Genome Project “Sequencing Emirati genomes will also play an important role in completing the picture of human genetics globally. Some 88 per cent of the genomes used in scientific research are of European ancestry. Genomes from participants in just three countries – the US, UK and Iceland – dominate the field.” Lindsay Perera Nader Kashgari Asma Abdullah https://lnkd.in/ebS-eEFy

Wonderful training and cohort - thank you Doqaru Limited !
Phew. I am tired! The ElevateHer Retreat has been an absolute learning curve and joy for me personally. Firstly - the content provided by Dr Yekemi Otaru and Sarah Downs (F.FISP) , as well as Nigel Jenkins and Karen Slupinski has been phenomenal and very thought provoking. Not one piece of content that was not useful to my work and my clients by extension. Secondly - I was grateful to meet so many women in STEM like Caroline Laurenson , Sheryl Newman and Samantha Rhynas - I don’t usually get the opportunity to do that. The ease with which they seem to create solutions to make lives better is awe inspiring to me. Thirdly - living in rural Scotland, it is rare to come together with diverse women from all over the world. Those who know me will understand that connecting with ladies such as the fabulous Asma Abdullah and Sarah Lachhab meant the world to me and reminded me of my heritage and time growing up. But most of all - there was not a single conversation I had that I didn’t enjoy and that didn’t teach me something. A secret wave and handshake goes to Dinara Izmaylova Lizzy Todd Delia Smith-Bucur Kseniya Kakharova and the fabulous Leah Hodder It’s getting a bit out of hand but each and everyone of these ladies has given me knowledge, kindness and a fascinating story so thank you all! #scotland #scottishbusiness #salesskills

As some of you may know, I can get very excited and nerdy about economics! When a concept or business idea succesfully unites profitability with a people first approach - that's the sweet spot! On its way to becoming a wellbeing economy, Scotland is taking huge steps in social and environmental policy and creating frameworks based on the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations. I am extremely happy to be a part of the first Moray Cohort of the Impact Journey Training created by Scotland CAN B and to take the first steps to help businesses contribute and measure their impact and successes on this journey. The group has been delightful with so many interesting people and businesses represented and the delivery by Elle Adams and Tim Hartley was fantastic. If you are looking to learn more or are just curious about how to create your own impact statement, I would be more than happy to chat. For now, I am grateful and very excited about the future, so if I can't stop talking about it feel free to give me subtle hints to stop talking or even better - join the conversation!!! The cohort will reconvene one more time in a few weeks and I am excited to hear more from the other participants! Advice that is so good I framed it! My amazing friend Mareike Schamberger created these postcards to remind her clients that - loosely translated into English - "If it gets bumpy, you don't jump out of the car, you buckle up!" November was full of "oooohhh" and "aaahhh" moments in our business mentoring sessions - it is always amazing how a perceived road block can be turned upside down and we can conclude the sessions with a pragmatic and positive way forward. We buckle up and tackle the roadbumps together! Are you facing some issues in your business that you just don't know how to tackle? Whether it is a one-off session, our monthly business mentoring plan or a 1-day intensive session - get in touch for a free first chat to see how we can help you move forward with new energy, solutions and inspiration! Buckle up 2024 - we're coming for you! Mareike Schamberger Paul Downing-Smith Mike Kronenberg Nadia Levesque Saskia Schneider Judith Philippi Jens Dackweiler

One of my personal favourite techniques in client work and one that applies to every single type of industry or business! Tracing the customer journey is the single most important thing you can do to assure that your process and service levels are as strong, detailed and customer oriented as they should be. A strong foundation is everything and encourages repeat business. Sounds simple? It can be but the devil is in the detail and the follow up! Whether it is a retail space or an online presence, whether you are in the service industry or third sector - the principles don't change! Whether it is in a workshop format for your team, our 1-day-intensive strategy kick off or through monthly business mentoring - we can help with optimizing your customers experience and your processes and will create a roadmap document and checklist for you to follow in your own time. If you would like to know what working with Dhow Consulting could look like for you feel free to get in touch for a chat! https://lnkd.in/exGMWTSH
