🖋 Digital Catapult recently signed an MoU with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院) in Taiwan to reach our common goal of championing the development of data enabled open future networks. 🤝The MoU will help to accelerate international cooperation and development of OpenRAN testing through sharing learnings and testing activities. 🌏 Linda Ligios, Head of Innovation at Digital Catapult, is in Taiwan at the #5GSummit with other international labs to share the impact from the last three years of SONIC Labs - our world-leading innovation programme and R&D facility. As part of the Innovate UK Catapult Network, Digital Catapult is helping improve UK industrial supply chain resilience through the application of deep tech solutions to drive UK business productivity, job creation and net zero. 🪄⛓️ - In the past three years, we've engaged with 255 industry participants across all manufacturing sectors through 37 funded projects with industry, technology and academic partners as part of the Digital Supply Chain Hub. - Our collaboration with government, industry and researchers is paving the way for a new hydrogen supply chain and the transition to a hydrogen economy in the UK as one of the eleven partners of the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative. - We've reduced supply chain costs by 20% through programmes with aerospace partners, demonstrating the real world value of deep tech to improve advanced manufacturing processes. 🌱 Going forward, we can't wait to realise the better digital future of supply chains faster and more responsibly. 📦 Join our Hub to explore deep tech solutions for your manufacturing business: https://ow.ly/jwmH50TOAWU

This week we launched our first Technology Access Programme in Northern Ireland to accelerate the practical application of deep tech. Attendees at our Day of Photonics event were the first to learn about the programme and the two tracks participants can choose from to develop their deep tech solutions to bring them to market: ⚡ Photonics 🛜 Future networks (5G and NB-IoT) Attendees also heard how industrial and integrated photonics are transforming industry in Northern Ireland, including from Smart Nano NI consortium partners, and from our past programme participant Aeroblue Software on the impact of the programme on their business.
