The Welsh Nursing Care Record (WNCR) is now live in 331 wards across Wales — and that number continues to grow as it continues its rollout across Cardiff and Vale Health Board. Previously paper notes had to be stored and delivered to the appropriate healthcare professional — whereas now the information is available at the clinician’s fingertips. WNCR enables nurses to complete assessments at a patient’s bedside on a mobile tablet, or other handheld device, saving time, improving accuracy and minimising duplication. By going digital, healthcare workers can access essential information to make informed decisions about a patient's care, no matter where that care is taking place. *** Mae Cofnod Gofal Nyrsio Cymru (WNCR) bellach yn fyw mewn 331 o wardiau ledled Cymru — ac mae’r nifer hwnnw’n parhau i dyfu wrth iddo barhau i gael ei gyflwyno ar draws Bwrdd Iechyd Caerdydd a’r Fro. Yn flaenorol bu’n rhaid storio nodiadau papur a’u dosbarthu i’r gweithiwr gofal iechyd proffesiynol priodol — ond erbyn hyn mae’r wybodaeth ar gael ar flaenau bysedd y clinigwr. Mae WNCR yn galluogi nyrsys i gwblhau asesiadau wrth ochr gwely cleifion ar lechen symudol, neu ddyfais llaw arall, gan arbed amser, gwella cywirdeb a lleihau dyblygu. Drwy fynd yn ddigidol, gall gweithwyr gofal iechyd gyrchu gwybodaeth hanfodol i wneud penderfyniadau gwybodus am ofal claf, ni waeth ble mae'r gofal hwnnw'n digwydd.
