We could not be prouder of our 20 DTM colleagues who took part in last Saturday’s Tough Mudder Challenge at Ragley Hall in Alcester. They put their individual strength and stamina to the test and pulled together as a team to complete the gruelling task, and in doing so, raised a fantastic £1,500 for Alzheimer’s Society. This was part of our ‘DTM at 20’ celebrations, and it has really fuelled our appetite for more challenges! This week’s strategy day at DTM’s Blackpool HQ was a good opportunity for us to hear from guest speakers from Blackpool FC, Commercial Manager Martin Booker, and Head of Data Analysis Charlie Green. Our theme was ‘Using Data to Improve Performance’, a core topic for DTM, as we increase functionality of our online technology platforms. Blackpool FC’s use of data in the context of building the skill base within their team was fascinating and a great way to start our day’s discussions. This week, DTM successfully completed and passed a 1-day, in-depth, external Surveillance Audit carried out by Alcumus ISOQAR, for ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System (EnMS) certification. We evidenced a 9.3% reduction in our energy consumption (electricity, gas and vehicle fuel), a major contributor of which was a reduction in vehicle fuel, as our company fleet drivers have been avoiding unnecessary meetings, and generally being more aware of fuel consumption in their driving behaviour.
