Life through a different lens

About us

Our vision is to create a world where communication resources are standardised, diverse and accessible, to reduce the support gap to lower income families and to advocate for accessible work places. Discover SEN is about helping schools and therapists reduce their workload by creating easy to use resources and giving families the opportunity to learn and grow when an educational need, disability or disorder can feel overwhelming.  By working with us you can be assured that we give back to the community with assisted sales to provide support for families below the poverty line.

Discover Assistance Our upcoming conference is raising money for the Discover Assistance Fund; learn more about what it is in this post! We aim to support all families regardless of their financial position. We are able to offer subsidised training, consultancy, and resources to families who need them. The assistance fund is available to families from a wide variety of backgrounds and financial situations. We understand how expensive it can be to have a child with additional needs and disabilities. We hope the assistance fund ensures that everyone will be able to access the resources they need.

I'm one of a great many presenters at the Discover Inclusion Access to Academic Learning Conference (I think I worked it out as less than 50p per presentation, with a single ticket costing £9.50 - there are also whole school tickets available) https://lnkd.in/ehHhBd2E I love my little bingo board so I can check who I've seen, it gives you a sense of what will be in there too. Take a look at Kerry Thalia AuDHD SEN Resource Creator's output about the event to find out more about the other presentations.

    • A bingo board showing brief details of 23 separate presentations all focused on SEND and access to education.
    • A speaker Ident showing a portrait shot of me in a brightly coloured raincoat and dress, alongside the title of my talk: Myth Busting Sensory Rooms, a QR code for tickets is displayed and further details tell you that it will run on facebook from the 1st to the 31st of October and that profits go towards an assistance fund for people getting support from Discover Inclusion

Did somebody say Disability Pride month? (We know we are a little late!) Disability Pride Month celebrates the diversity and differences of identities, cultures and the contributions of people with disabilities. Across the UK there are approximately 16 million people who have a disability. Our resources aim to represent as many of them as possible! Here are just a few illustrations featuring disabilities. But remember NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISIBLE. Something we have found very apparent when trying to illustrate them! Let us know what disability we should illustrate next! 👇🏻👇🏼👇🏾👇🏿

We had an absolute blast at Parallel Windsor at the weekend, despite the thunderstorm! There was everything from climbing and dancing to story time and ice cream. I think the firm favourite was Joanna Grace Super Sensory 1km race. Thank you Parallel Lifestyle for an incredible day out. ID: The parallel logo is faded as the background. An illustration of a woman behind a young boy, with their arms out, holding hands with race numbers on their tops.
