It’s been one of those days… Today is a rare day where I’ve been working from home (for the record, and for me personally, not a fan!) as I’ve had engineers at my house installing my new home car charger for my shiner new Cherry Red Tesla. Today was their second visit, after forgetting to order the Tesla charger the first time around… doh! 🤦🏻♂️ However, today didn’t go to plan either, as one of the parts previously installed was found to be faulty. Hardly ideal… and I still cannot charge my car at home! So, with tonight being my gym night, I’ve come out to a lovely car park in Oswestry to pay an extortionate rate to charge my car for the next few days. Not being one to sit idle, I’ve brought my iPad with me so I can crack on with writing my talk for the upcoming Disrupt Manchester event happening on 6th November! I’m really looking forward to this one, as Bill Banham knows how to put on a cracking event and this is the first Manchester event in a LONG time! It’s also happens to coincide with a #CIPD event in the city that sale day 👀 so watch out for loads of HR pros descending on Manchester in early November! I’ve got an amazing talk lined up for you all too… You see, this is my first Tesla AND my first electric car, so it’s been a bit of a learning curve and I’ve got some really interesting insights into why Tesla have been so successful and how YOU can apply those lessons in the field of HR to really move the needle. The theme is going back to the drawing board… reinventing the wheel, stripping away the things that just are because they’ve always been that way, and taking a fresh approach to old problems. I think you’re really going to love this one! And of course, we’ll have our usual stand on show with some glorious giveaways and our infamous spinning wheel where you can win some super cool prizes (free Starbucks coffee anyone?). A couple of weeks ago, I attended the Textio after-party during #HRTechConf in Vegas.
