We're taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks 🗻 Yes, that's right! We're swapping our office shoes for walking boots, and are preparing to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 28th September!   The team will be pushing their stamina to the extreme, taking on the challenge and conquering three of the best-known hills in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which are:   ⛰️Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres) ⛰️Whernside (736 metres) ⛰️Ingleborough (723 metres)   Training is already in full swing, with some of the team bracing the British weather with some furry friends to practice getting their steps in!    It’s safe to say this is no easy challenge and an extremely demanding hike, covering a distance of 24.5 miles and climbing a total of 5,200ft!   This challenge isn't only to test ourselves though, as we're also aiming to raise funds and awareness for the amazing work of Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity chosen by the team themselves as one close to their hearts.   Macmillan offers support to everyone with cancer, so that they can live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. No matter what a person's needs are, they will listen and support them at every step.   If you would like to make a donation, please click on the link below. 👇 https://lnkd.in/dfrttkFk

"What makes a brand is its people." Scott Heath, CEO, recently sat down with Accountancy Age, to discuss our transformation from DJH Mitten Clarke to DJH, and how the move was designed to unify our growing network under one strong, cohesive brand. But for us, the rebrand goes beyond aesthetics—it's a reflection of our commitment to our people and clients, simplifying our brand and reinforcing a culture of collaboration. With a date pencilled in for the first budget of the new Labour government, taking place on Wednesday, 30 October, speculation is already rife on the tax changes that might be introduced. Labour has already ruled out increases to: 📌 National Insurance Contributions 📌 Income Tax 📌 VAT But could this potentially pave the way for increases in the rate of Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and a reduction in Pension Tax Relief? Lesley Sutton, Director from our Huddersfield office, has looked at the changes Labour could make in these areas. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eZRb2Dpn

Rent-to-rent is a property investment strategy where a tenant rents a property to sublet it to others. 🏡 The investor acts as a middleman, and they generate profit while ensuring the landlord receives guaranteed monthly rent and taking on property management responsibilities. Senior Client Manager and Property Expert, Jonathan Jones, has outlined the different models of rent-to-rent, and whether investing in rent-to-rent is the right option for you. 👇 https://lnkd.in/e3yRb-Pg

We've raised £1,000 for the Alzheimer's Society with our Great Movement Challenge! 💙   We recently took part in our ’Great Movement Challenge', partnering with GoJoe, an inclusive social fitness and wellbeing app which uses the power of their highly engaging platform to connect and motivate everyone - regardless of age, activity or fitness level.   After a lot of healthy competition, at the end of the challenge, the team logged a total of 5,990 activities, completing 4,500 hours’ worth of exercise and covering a distance of over 14,000km!🏃♀️🚶♂️🏊♀️ This impressive effort meant we reached our donation goal of £1,000, that will be donated from our Great Ideas Grant, a pot of money set aside each year for community initiatives close to the team’s hearts. The team were asked to vote for which cause they'd like to support, and they chose the Alzheimer's Society, who tackle all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with the disease today and in the future. https://lnkd.in/escRGTbP
