📈🚀30 Years Experience in Appointment Setting🚀📈

About us

DJST is an appointment-setting telemarketing agency. Back in 1992, we embarked on a mission to reshape the market dynamics by introducing a senior-level telephone sales function that synergizes seamlessly with field sales efforts. What sets us apart? We've abandoned the old model of charging upfront, opting instead to align our success with yours by charging solely based on results. This forward-looking approach has propelled us to the forefront of our industry. Our track record speaks volumes. We're honoured to have nurtured relationships with clients who embarked on this journey with us in 1992 and continue to thrive alongside us. The fact that our results-based fee structure endures is a testament to the symbiotic partnership we've cultivated, becoming an indispensable asset driving their sales and growth. No two clients are the same, and we celebrate that diversity. Our telephone marketing strategies are bespoke creations, finely tuned to harmonize with each client's unique objectives and campaign nuances. From refining the database and pinpointing decision-makers to orchestrating fruitful appointments and securing closures, our tailored solutions resonate with the ever-evolving business landscape.

2️⃣ 0️⃣ years in sales today. How do I remember this exactly...? 🤔 Well, because I started in my first sales job on my mum’s birthday 20 years ago. It was a part of my present to her; my first “proper” job to help us keep the roof over our heads, and to pay the bills. As recent immigrants into the UK, we would not be able to ditch our other cash-in-hand gigs for a long time yet, but this was a big boost to us. And I discovered the variable element of sales comp for the first time, which was enough to convince me that sales was the thing to do… That’s not to say that I was a “natural” to begin with, my English was not exactly tip-top for the first few years either; but with enough practice, trial-and-error, sponging coaching from anyone wiling to share some wisdom, I had strung together these past couple of decades. Meanwhile, thanks to the variable comp bit, I managed to put my mum up in her own home a few years ago. I am grateful to sales for giving me this proud son moment. This post is to express huge thanks to all of the leaders that managed me over the course of my career, each of whom helped to shape me into the person that I am today. Some special shoutouts: Benno - for giving me my first gig at Zenith Windows in 2004. Neil Cuthbertson - for my first step into B2B sales at Don't Just Sit There, Sell Something! Ltd in 2006. Jonathon Scott - for my first full closing role at The First Group in 2007. Neil Pickering - for my first role in tech at UKG in 2011. Ian Freeman - for giving me my first quota-carrying position in tech at goMoxie in 2012. Stuart Gammon - for bringing me to Box in 2013, where I had progressed from commercial to large enterprise sales in a little over 3 years. Valerie Focke - for promoting me into leadership in 2022, which is something that I have absolutely loved doing since. A special call out to one of the world’s best recruiters and all-around top people, who influenced me so much in the past dozen years - Julia (Yulya) Redfarn 🇺🇦 Huge love to the following leaders, who put up with me at one time or another: Liam Brennan, Leslie Reeves, Matthew Hoy, Yvonne Minikin, Jean-Benoit Sorge, Thomas Schneider, Jeroen Buijs, Carina Brockl, Malik Benzenine, Tony Cheema, Brendan Walsh, Sarfraz Ali, Anthony Tattersall, Jennie Drimmer, Mike Damiano, Lauren Legroun, Hadi Moussa. Here's to (hopefully) the next 20 years! Image credit: DALL-E. Prompt: "A salesperson marking their 20 year anniversary in sales. Open to your interpretation. Don't make it too cartoonish. Shoot." #salescareer #20years
