DPD is delighted to have achieved a ‘Silver’ in the Inclusive Employers Standard (IES) 2025. The IES is a national accreditation that assesses how well businesses embed inclusion across their organisation. This recognition reflects our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), particularly in areas such as inclusive policies, leadership engagement, and innovative initiatives. We are particularly proud of this accolade as it was our first time submitting for the IES, and to achieve a Silver on our first attempt has energised us to continue our inclusion development and enhance the positive impact of inclusion both within our organisation and the wider industry. Emily Pattinson, Senior Inclusive Employers Standard Programme Lead, Inclusive Employers, commented: "We’re incredibly proud that DPD has shown a clear commitment to building an inclusive culture and has achieved a Silver accreditation. In what can feel like an overwhelming time for inclusion and diversity work, organisations like DPD are part of driving meaningful change. By seeking to understand their inclusion development, DPD demonstrates to others in their sector that they are prioritising their people and creating a culture of impactful inclusion."

2024 was a busy year for sustainability at DPD UK! Once again we are able to demonstrate our position as a leader in decarbonisation having achieved an incredible 47.5% reduction in our emissions compared to our 2020 baseline. This means we've already surpassed the 43% 2030 target as part of our parent company, Geopost. Learn about our 2024 achievements, both in terms of carbon reduction and the environmental good causes we've been supporting, at our dedicated sustainability site: https://lnkd.in/eGTY6D6Z

Back in December one of our drivers, Jacob from Deeside, did something incredible to help save a local who had been injured.    When Susi, aged 66, was walking her dog in the back garden she tripped and broke her hip. Unable to move, she was in the freezing rain for 20 minutes until her husband, Keith, found her. He called for an ambulance but was told it might not arrive for several hours, and so Keith set out to find help from neighbours to get her to the hospital.    As luck would have it, this was when Jacob pulled up to make a delivery to Susi and Keith. Without a second thought, Jacob stepped up to help. With Susi close to becoming hyperthermic, Jacob, Keith, and a neighbour helped get Susi onto a board and into the back of Keith’s estate car where she was rushed to A&E.    For his heroism, Jacob was given DPD's 'CEO Award', a special award for outstanding service given by our CEO Elaine Kerr. With Susi recovered, Jacob recently returned to visit her and Keith, where Susi presented him with the award. As he was originally there to make a delivery from Butternut Box | B Corp, they thoughtfully gifted him a card and voucher. Jacob had this to say: "I am overall very happy that Susi is doing much better and got the help she very much needed on the day. I want to say it was not just me who helped; it was Keith, the neighbour’s son, and the bravery of Susi herself who must’ve been in incredible pain. I feel I did what anyone else would have done and there would never have been a time I would not have helped. I wish Susi and Keith all the very best and hope she is recovering well!" Well done to our hero driver, Jacob!

DPD is proud to be a signatory to The Disability Employment Charter (https://lnkd.in/evnHyvTd). By signing the Disability Employment Charter, we are making a public commitment to improving disability inclusion in our workplace. The Charter sets out nine key actions that employers should take to support disabled employees, from ensuring reasonable adjustments are made swiftly to increasing transparency through disability workforce reporting. This isn’t just about saying we support inclusion—it’s about taking measurable steps to remove barriers and create an equitable working environment. Despite progress, there is still a significant disability employment gap in the UK. Many disabled people face unnecessary challenges in accessing and retaining employment. By becoming a signatory, we are aligning ourselves with best practice and committing to real change. This not only benefits our employees but also strengthens our organisation by fostering a diverse, innovative, and inclusive workplace.

Located on a major A4 road, this site boasts 10 rapid DC charging bays, for convenient charging for EV drivers. We're incredibly proud to be part of this major milestone, showcasing DPD and BP Pulse's shared commitment to decarbonisation.
