Each year, almost 2.1 million patients in England have wound healing problems after surgery, of which 500,000 become infected. Most of these wound complications happen after patients have been discharged from hospital. Our latest blog explores about how flexible, digital tools are reshaping how we approach remote wound monitoring and post-discharge care 💚 More below 👇 #DrDoctor #WoundMonitoring #DigitalWorkflows #NHS

About us
At DrDoctor we’re building the future of outpatient care. DrDoctor is a patient engagement platform that helps the NHS activate patients in their care and increase capacity through waitlist validation and remote management. Our mission is to improve efficiency in healthcare, and ultimately enable the NHS to break the enormous backlog of patients needing care. How do we do this? We are innovators. Our cloud-based patient management tools automate and virtualise processes and care, so that Doctors can focus on their patients, and that patients can engage as true partners in their care. Our vison is that all care will be provided based on the needs of the patient and their condition. That you’ll have a real time, two-way dialogue with your doctor and care will be provided in the setting that suits you most. We are made up of some of the most skilled, talented, and passionate people in the industry. We love the NHS, and we love what we do. 👀 Anything catch your eye strolling around the capital last night? We took to the streets of London for our #waitlistwatch, showcasing the scale of the #DNA problem in the NHS. While these are just numbers and statistics, we can't simply etch a strike beside the name of each patient who fails to attend their appointment. Understanding why patients DNA is far more complex - but importantly, *very* human. And while there's no short answer, there is a way to finding one: listening to the patient. It's time we use new technology to better communicate, engage and proactively intervene with the people behind missed appointments to prevent them from happening in the first place. Solving non-attendance is the first step to easing the burden on our health system - and the tools that we need to do so, are already at our disposal 💚 #DrDoctor #NHS #WaitlistWatch

DNAs (Did Not Attend) are costing the NHS an estimated £1.6 billion a year, further compounding the issue of the elective backlog. Understanding why people fail to attend their appointments is often quite complex - but what if we could better understand the reasons why people DNA, and both identify and proactively intervene to prevent them happening? 💡 On October 23rd, we'll show you how. Join us for a special product event, where we'll unpack the DNA problem in the #NHS and show how new, exciting technology is the missing piece to solving the puzzle 💚

Forbes highlighted findings from our DNA Complexities Report, exploring why patients miss their appointments in the #NHS. 🗣️ "Almost everyone surveyed (93%) said they wanted to attend their appointment. But half of respondents said transport was an issue. Some patients were referred to hospitals very far away from home, while others couldn’t afford public transport fares." Join us from 12pm today, where we'll unpack the DNA problem and show how new, exciting technology is changing how we approach and proactively manage DNAs 💚 Link in the comments 👇

💬 "It's easy to view DNAs as mere numbers and statistics. The reality is far more complex and very human. Behind every DNA is a person - each with a unique set of circumstances, challenges and justifiable reasons around why they fail to make their appointment. Patients are lost in the system - what if we could find them?" Read the full blog below 👇
