We did a thing…👇 Alongside Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we were honoured by the Health Service Journal last night, winning Best Contribution to Improving the Efficiency of NHS Services at the #PartnershipAwards2025. The story behind this win? 💭 Bradford Teaching Hospitals and DrDoctor worked together to redesign the hospital's Rheumatology advice line, reducing patient wait times by 74% and averaging from 21.9 days to 5.6 days for a call back. Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust patients are now able to view digital appointment letters via the NHS app thanks to the Patient Portal Programme, the first Trust with this functionality in South East London. This means that patients can view their letters without the need for separate authentication offering a better patient experience, aligning LGT to NHS England's vision as the NHS app as the main digital touch point for patients and will serve as a digital gateway to drive patient behaviour towards using digital tools via the NHS app. This follows just a week after becoming the first NHS trust with a community function to enable RIO integration with the NHS app via DrDoctor. More in the pipeline too!
