The Racers Eseries finals hosted by Guild Esports & Sky Broadband are only a week away and I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be competing alongside 9 other talented women. The event is focusing on bringing equality to gaming where there is a significant gap of 47% of gamers being women, yet only 5% achieve professional status. The shoots in the lead up to this have been a dream, from meeting David Beckham, Rachel Daly, Naomi Schiff and more. I’m so excited to be a part of this initiative! Although I feel more confident in a real race car than the sim rig, I’ll give it my best shot! Will you be there?

Today is the last day of #BlackHistoryMonth, but Mission 44 and The Black Curriculum believe that Black history should be taught all year round. Through their teacher training programme, The Black Curriculum is equipping educators with the skills and resources to teach it. We’re proud to be working with them to expand the reach of their work, ensuring young people across the UK can learn an empowering form of Black history. #ReclaimingNarratives

Sienna Greene A rising star in the Global Karting League:UK . After her success as part of Idris Elba’s Speed Academy, she continues to make waves in the karting world. Driven By Us recently launched an exciting STEM motorsport engagement programme at Bradford College with Motivez supported by Mission 44. This initiative aims to inspire the next generation of students to pursue careers in the motorsport industry. The opening day featured a fireside chat with key figures from the industry, offering students valuable insights into what it takes to succeed in such a competitive field. An inspiring speaker shared their personal journey into motorsport, shedding light on the qualities and efforts required to stand out from the crowd. The programme also provided practical guidance on career-building essentials. Students learned how to craft compelling CVs and cover letters, with advice tailored to securing roles in the motorsport sector. Additionally, they heard directly from a current apprentice, who offered interview tips and a breakdown of what employers seek during assessment centres, giving them a real-world perspective on the hiring process. The hands-on engagement was designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to navigate their paths into the motorsport industry, helping them take their first steps toward successful careers. Last month I again had the pleasure of volunteering with Driven By Us as part of the Motorsport Engagement Programme, delivered in partnership with Motivez and supported by Mission 44. During the programme, Bradford College students took part in activities such as fireside chats gaining access to real industry role models providing valuable mentorship and careers advice. I enjoyed sharing my journey into motorsport as part of the chats and helping to guide the students towards their desired career roles during workshop sessions focusing on CV/cover letter writing and interview training. Throughout the programme students have been given the opportunity to speak with key figures working in motorsports and join in ongoing legacy activities with local motorsport teams. The focus on legacy activities highlights the commitment to ensuring that the benefits of the programme extend beyond the month-long engagement, offering lasting support and networks for the students involved. This initiative is a clear example of how we deliver change and open doors for students, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, to pursue opportunities in high-profile industries like motorsports.
