Changing the way we think about paper honeycomb + board
About us
The story of Dufaylite began way back in 1955 when our paper honeycomb technology was first conceived. Once it was discovered that a honeycomb shape could offer extraordinary strength, a whole world of opportunities and applications became open to us to explore. The first breakthrough came when the honeycomb was used in aircraft construction during the Second World War, shortly after that it was found to be a perfect component when placed inside mass produced doors. The possibilities appeared to be endless, and we have proved that they really are! The lightweight nature and structural strength of Dufaylite Honeycomb has resulted in it becoming one of the most widely used products in all kinds of applications. The company now operates four dedicated divisions to serve all of its varied customer bases. From Ground Movement solutions to Exhibition stands to innovative packaging solutions and passive fire protection systems......our Honeycomb really does have a million possibilities and it’s an exciting journey discovering the next application! So come on find us a new problem to solve, we love it and it’s what makes us at Dufaylite Tick!

Did you know that Dufaylite is one of 6,000 companies worldwide, including 650 in the UK, certified to the BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard? We believe we are the only honeycomb supplier globally to have achieved this prestigious certification. But that's not all... in our recent unannounced audit, we proudly secured an AA+ rating with just one non-conformance, while the global average stands at 7. This is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and quality in everything we do. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and to our valued partners for their continued support. We are thrilled to share this achievement with you all! Did you know that the UK produced an astounding 2.5 million metric tons of plastic packaging waste – that’s a number for packaging waste! 🧴 In total, just over 3.6 million tons of plastic is generated in the UK each year and only about 40% of that is captured & recycled. But, without getting too political here, this number that’s given as the amount plastic “recycled” each year isn’t necessarily actually recycled – it’s simply a number given for how much material has been passed for recycling elsewhere. #PlasticPackaging #Recycling #PackagingWaste

We absolutely love our Ultra Board line – it’s ultra sleek and just as versatile. For the most part, it tends to be used for commercial and workplace applications, to provide a huge variety of solutions (such as modular furniture and portable signage) – but that doesn’t have to be the case. In one of our latest blogs, we thought we’d suggest some fun applications in the home for it. Check it out! https://bit.ly/3tXhLYO #UltraBoard #Signage #Blogs

Paper honeycomb is one of those rare materials that’s almost endlessly adaptable, while requiring a really minimal environmental impact. It’s made from recycled paper and can itself be completely recycled, so it can be used for a huge range of applications. We’ve been making innovations with paper honeycomb for over 65 years now, from aeroplane components to lightweight furniture, and we think it’s time to start changing the way that we think about paper honeycomb. We’re passionate about our paper honeycomb solutions and even more passionate about sustainability – if you have any questions or you’d like to discuss a potential application, let’s talk! #Dufaylite #PaperHoneycomb #EnvironmentalImpact #SustainableMaterials
