  • EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY Dunelm Geotechnical, one of the UK’s largest independent ground investigation contractors, is looking to appoint an Area Manager to oversee it’s operations in the midlands and north west of England with a facility based in Oldham. Working from an existing workload of contracts, framework contracts and customers the manager will be tasked with maintaining current turnover and developing the further, ongoing growth of the business unit outside of those existing contracts and developing customer relationships to match the achievements of the Durham, Glasgow and Newbury offices. The successful applicant should be able to lead and inspire a team of engineers, drillers and technicians, ensure operations run smoothly as well as having a sound knowledge of ground investigation contracting management from an operational, safety, technical and financial perspective and be able to liaise with the Directors of the business. The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of ground investigation within the rail network. The role will also form part of the company’s senior management team and be involved in strategic, technical and operational decision making processes to ensure Dunelm’s continued long term success.   • We've received the majority of our new vehicle fleet today comprising 20 Vauxhall Vivaro, 3 Ford Dropsides and a LWB Mercedes Sprinter. Just the 8 4x4 vehicles for our drilling fleet left to come. This completes the first phase of almost a one million pounds investment in the provision of new plant and equipment to our staff. We are looking forwards to further investment across the company in the coming months!

    WE ARE RECRUITING! Due to an increase in workload across our UK wide business including major infrastructure projects are recruiting for the following positions: Ground Investigation Project Managers : Candidates should have 5 years experience of managing multi-disciplinary GI projects of all sizes from award through to submission of final invoice. An in depth knowledge of GI techniques, in situ testing, monitoring, health & safety and lab testing is required. A knowledge of contract procedures would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be given. Ground Investigation Site Engineers : Ideally candidates will have at least 1 years experience, however, consideration will be given to recent graduates. The role will involve working on site and periods of working away from home supervising our rigs, logging soil and rock and liaising with our customers. Full training will be given and you will be set up on our Graduate Training Programme which will see you involved in all our activities under the mentorship of a senior member of staff. All positions include the Real Living Wage, holidays, including loyalty days, benefits when working away from home and wellbeing days held throughout the year.
