Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall visited Greater Manchester’s Model for Health and Wellbeing "Live Well" at Salford Loaves and Fishes, to see their work on building healthier and fairer communities. The Live Well scheme focuses on doing things differently, to shift power to communities in order to provide local people with skills and empowering them to return to work and progress. Local action is key to creating growth and opportunities for the country.

Have you thought about learning another language, how about British Sign Language? There are over 150,000 people in the UK who use BSL. Two years ago, British Sign Language was legally recognised under the BSL Act. Minister for Social Security and Disability Sir Stephen Timms visited Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children who teach both BSL and English to ensure students are equipped with the skills to thrive. He highlighted the Government's commitment to the aims of the BSL Act ensuring this country is as inclusive as possible for Deaf and disabled people. #IWDP #IDSL
