We welcomed Cabinet Secretary Simon Case to our Caxton House digital hub on Tuesday 15 October, where he met with some of our apprentices and helped us celebrate the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) being awarded platinum status by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. The apprentices spoke with Simon about their own personal experiences of entering the Civil Service, discussed their roles and what it was like helping some of the most vulnerable people in society through their work. Simon and the apprentices then joined our CDIO Rich Corbridge (FBCS) and Director of AI and Innovation Simon King to unveil a plaque celebrating DWP becoming a Platinum Approved Organisation. The department is the first in government to receive the award, which demonstrates our commitment to staff development, supporting BCS objectives and upholding the highest standards in their practice.

DWP Digital now offer Digital AND Business placements in our Blackpool hub! Another successful induction event was held yesterday welcoming our next 8 T-Level students!
