After four years of consultation, collaboration and conversations with local communities and stakeholders, we’re proud to announce the submission of the Hybrid Planning Applications to reinstate Earls Court as a global destination for wonder. Our 44 acre masterplan will come alive with music, arts and entertainment.   As central London’s largest cleared development opportunity, this is more than just a construction project—it is the reimagining of an iconic part of London into a dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable neighbourhood designed for all stages of life. Earls Court will be a better piece of City, providing a blueprint for future generations as a model for how London can evolve to meet the needs of its residents and address the environmental and societal challenges of the future.    With nature as the golden thread, the long empty site will be transformed as a new neighbourhood with c.4,000 new homes and 12,000 jobs set within 20 acres of new public open and green space. It will reflect its legacy as a hub of innovation and entertainment, be a showcase for clean and climate tech with 2.5 million sq ft of workspace and create a new cultural ecosystem for London with three new anchor venues. Great to see Building Design. highlighting the inclusive design approach shaping the future of Earls Court. At ECDC, we’re bringing forward a new piece of city which will deliver homes and economic development for London and the UK. We will deliver on the priorities of the London Growth Plan with an approach which focuses on inclusive growth, bringing new technologies and innovation and investing in London's cultural and creative industries. We believe that truly inclusive public spaces aren’t just designed—they’re co-created. That’s why we established the Public Realm Inclusivity Panel (PRIP), bringing together a diverse group of local voices to shape the masterplan from the earliest stages. Journalist Mary Richardson attended the latest PRIP session and saw first-hand how the panel’s insights are making a difference. From shaping the Cascades water feature to influencing our design code, PRIP members are helping to create an environment that is accessible, welcoming, and designed for everyone. As BD notes, this approach is setting a new benchmark for large-scale urban development. Blending theatre, live music, and dining, this cabaret epic—created with Cuban artists Luanda Pau, Maikel Mota, and Yelfris Valdés—proves that immersive storytelling is as alive as ever on our site. 💃 And this is just the beginning. The future of Earls Court is as a global cultural destination, featuring three anchor performance venues and flexible hubs for creation, production, and rehearsal. This week, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is attending MIPIM for the first time to champion investment in London. In partnership with Opportunity London, the Mayor is setting out a £22bn investment prospectus aimed at delivering the homes, jobs, and infrastructure the city needs.   At Earls Court, we’re proud to be part of this collective effort. As London’s largest cleared development site, we have a unique opportunity to deliver: 4,000 new homes, including affordable housing 12,000 jobs across a new commercial and cultural district 2.9m sq ft of workspace for climate and clean innovation   Earls Court will be a flagship project for London’s growth, innovation, and sustainability, aligning with the Mayor’s recently launched London Growth Plan, and, closer to home, Hammersmith & Fulham’s industrial strategy, Upstream London. We estimate the development will drive an annual uplift of £1.2bn GVA to the UK economy.     London remains one of the world’s top destinations for investment in the built environment, and the time to act is now. Yesterday, ECDC hosted an International Women's Day event bringing a stage for pioneers—a place where ideas have sparked and change takes root. From the suffragettes who fought for equality to the trailblazers who redefined culture, women have shaped history here. Sharon Giffen who is Head of Design at ECDC shared her story of women shaping Earls Court today. Our keynote speaker, Lauren Currie OBE, founder of UPFRONT, lead a powerful session on owning your voice in the toughest rooms.
