Today, the World Meteorological Organization published a report detailing how sea level rise in the region is above the global average. The report also shows that in the region, sea surface temperatures have risen three times faster than the global average and marine heatwaves have approximately doubled in frequency since 1980. “The reason is clear: greenhouse gases – overwhelmingly generated by burning fossil fuels – are cooking our planet. And the sea is taking the heat – literally,” said Mr Guterres, as he urged the world to "answer the SOS before it is too late." Earlier this year, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Australia would be ramping up its extraction and use of gas until “2050 and beyond,” despite calls to phase out fossil fuels. Taking our event activations to the next level 💪 From The London Coffee Festival and Earthfest, to Allergy and Free From Show, it’s been a jampacked year of trade and consumer events for Glebe Farm Foods.
