Today at easyJet, we're rocking our socks with pride for World Down Syndrome Day! In a colourful display of solidarity and support, our colleagues donned their most vibrant and mismatched socks. Why odd socks? They symbolise the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome carry and remind us to celebrate diversity and uniqueness every day. At easyJet, we believe in the power of inclusivity and the strength it brings to our community. Today is more than just about socks; it's about raising awareness and understanding. #LotsofSocks #WorldDownSyndromeDay #easyJet

Giving a Warm easyJet Welcome to the next generation of aviation professionals ! On Thursday 13 March we welcomed 44 students and 3 staff members from Cranfield University to our Luton campus. The day was filled with energy and excitement as the students presented a business challenge to our easyJet 'Jury', showcasing their creativity and business acumen. The students had an in-depth look at the various departments here at easyJet and an exciting tour of our state-of-the-art Integrated Operations Centre (ICC). It was great to see such talent and enthusiasm from the next generation of aviation professionals, further strengthening our ongoing relationship with Cranfield University. The students proposed innovative holiday packages tailored to the preferences of Gen Z and Millennial travellers, focusing on sustainability, technology integration, and personalised experiences. They also focused on the future of our on-board experience with ideas for customisable, technology-powered in-flight experiences. The students also focused their presentations to cover leveraging AI to identify popular new destinations and the development of large language models, such as ChatGPT, to enhance both ground and in-flight operations. Of the showcase of ideas, Sophie Dekkers, our Chief Commercial Officer, was particularly impressed: 'You all made it a success, you have each presented such innovative ideas that really made the panel think and take away for the future " Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day a success. We hope to continue these collaborations and keep inspiring each other towards greater heights in the aviation industry

On Thursday we wrapped up another fantastic quarterly pilot seminar at our Berlin base - an initiative designed by our crew, for our crew. These sessions are the heart of the #OrangeSpirit, fostering hands-on learning, collaboration, and professional growth. This time, we took an exclusive tour inside the easyJet maintenance hangar, exploring the Airbus A320 up close, followed by a rare behind-the-scenes visit to the control tower. These experiences deepen our understanding of the critical operations that keep us flying safely and efficiently. ✈ At easyJet, we believe in strengthening our bonds, sharing knowledge, and advancing together. A huge thank you to everyone who joined, with a special shoutout to Captain Thomas Wilpert and Berlin Base Captain Carl Sange for leading the way. 💬 What’s been your most valuable hands-on training experience? Let us know in the comments! 👇 Swipe through below for some highlights! #easyJet | #Aviation | #PilotLife | #LearningAndDevelopment

✈️ Business travel update - Today in Toulouse we presented a new corporate #SAF solution with our partner #Airbus and the support of Aéroport Toulouse-Blagnac 📍 With Airbus we successfully tested a a new initiative aimed at easyJet's corporate travel partners to boost global production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) while helping #businesstravellers address their #carbon footprint. 📍 As part of the trial SAF was delivered to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport for the equivalent to operating easyJet’s Toulouse-Bristol / Bristol- Toulouse service on 30% SAF for three months 📄 The resulting reduction in emissions from SAF usage is counted towards scope 3 #reporting for corporate partners, along with easyJet’s scope 1. reporting. 📢 We are excited to see other partners joining us in this new approach of business travel.
