Exciting green news for Vilnius! Starting today, the city's residents and visitors can enjoy a more comfortable and sustainable way to travel around the city, thanks to the arrival of the first 20 out of 91 new, modern trolleybuses financed by the EBRD and supported by the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF). With zero tailpipe emissions, these battery and electricity-operated trolleybuses are now officially on the streets, making daily commutes more accessible and environmentally friendly. They are part of our work with the city’s urban transport company VVT to modernise their trolleybus fleet and encourage more people to use public transport. As the first EBRD Green City in the Baltic region, Vilnius is leading the way in sustainable urban development. If you’re in Vilnius, hop on board and experience these new trolleybuses for yourself!

Proud to be advancing gender equality in Jordan - this March we’ve completed our first Inclusive Procurement training programme! 200 young Jordanians and Syrians completed training at the West Irbid and Ain Ghazal Wastewater Treatment Projects. They gained skills as welding assistants, surveying assistants, and pipe-fitting assistants, with strong female participation despite industry barriers. Special thanks to the Jordan Engineers Association and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC) for their support. Together, we’re creating brighter futures!
