We were delighted to host this event with the ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION. There was lively discussion at the forum which enabled employers and ECIA members to get together to discuss the challenges and the opportunities for the region. We hope it will be the first of many joint events with the ECIA!
The Labour government recently announced a £21.7 billion funding package for decarbonisation of key UK energy clusters. This brings a lot of opportunities and challenges to the #engineering #construction sector. The joint ECITB and ECIA event held in North West enabled local employers to discuss ideas around skills shortages via training, upskilling, and skills transferability. With "collaboration" as a key outcome this event was a great starting point to move the region forward to deliver this critical decarbonisation project. Read on 👇 https://lnkd.in/ejp6MaKq
