The ECITB 2024 Wind Turbine Technician Scholars were welcomed to the Montrose operations hub, the world’s deepest fixed-bottom offshore wind farm, by North East Scotland College, SSE Renewables and Vestas. ⚡Located 27km off the North Angus coast, this incredible site’s 114 turbines generate enough electricity to power 1.6 million homes. For our scholars, visiting the control room and stepping aboard the service operation vessel was a unique opportunity to connect their studies with real-world industry experience. Engaging with the ECITB Scholarship Programme is a fantastic way for employers to identify future talent, build relationships with skilled learners and recruit individuals ready to fast-track into apprenticeships or site roles. A special thanks to all involved including two of our in-scope employers Stork UK and THREE60 ENERGY. #FutureEngineers #OffshoreWind #EngineeringCareers #ECITBScholarship
