👮 In response to the growing threat of cyber crime, Police Scotland is launching a new specialist Cyber and Fraud Division. This specialist team will collaborate with other UK agencies and partners to provide a co-ordinated approach against the cyber-related demand, which is projected to rise significantly by 2030. Cyber crime accounted for at least 5% of all recorded crimes last year in Scotland, and to stay ahead, the workforce will receive extensive cyber training to transform Police Scotland into one of the most digitally enabled police forces. Police Scotland aims to become a data-driven organisation, focusing on proactive crime prevention through advanced data analytics. 🚨Popular social messaging platform Discord has announced the rollout of a new custom end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) protocol to secure audio and video calls. Named DAVE (Discord's Audio and Video End-to-End Encryption), this update will enhance security for voice and video in DMs, Group DMs, voice channels, and Go Live streams. 🎧🔒 However, messages on Discord will remain unencrypted and are subject to content moderation.
