Our Peterborough team has confirmed the sale of a drive-thru café in the Norfolk town of #DownhamMarket, in a deal where we acted as the sole agent on behalf of the property owner. Situated to the east of the town centre, Costa Coffee currently operates the 1,800 sq. ft. property, sharing on-site parking with McDonald's. With a 15-year lease and a current annual rent of £86,500, the freehold of the café premises attracted serious interest from the outset with the final sale price confirmed by Gavin Hynes as ‘in excess of £1.4 million’. A week on from the opening of Union Yard, we are already finding managing the development an exciting and unique experience. With student accommodation for 128 and 100 extra residential apartments on-site, Union Yard has been created to breathe new life into the historic military town of Aldershot. Union Yard will also be home to the Makers Yard, which comprises eight purpose-built containers for enterprises to rent as studio and retail space, as well as a collection of 12 retail units spanning 2000 square metres for small start-ups and established brands to coexist and thrive. Rushmoor Borough Council appointed Andrew Stevens MRICS and our property management team to the project 18 months ago to provide quality rent collection, service charge and inspection services for both investors and occupiers. This instruction adds to our portfolio which also includes Kingsmead Shopping Centre, Queensmead, and the Meads Business Centre.

Great to get out on-site this week to get some drone shots of Max Park in East Corby. Managed by Eddisons and owned by Perland Properties Ltd, Max Park recently installed new signage, so Associate Director Jason Ghayour popped across to check it out. The site is adjacent to the A43 and is primarily used as a distribution park, featuring fully fitted and equipped warehousing designed to meet the demands of modern logistics operations. These units offer flexible space for storage, processing, and distribution. Our service charge covers the maintenance and upkeep of communal areas, defined as those areas outside of the tenant-occupied demises. This includes landscaping, lighting, cleaning, and general maintenance of these shared spaces. For more information on our offering, head to our website: https://lnkd.in/eSrmaq6S

It's great to see Mandale Group expanding into Sheffield, and we are really proud to be appointed as letting agents for the 21-unit development. If you are interested, we urge you to hurry, as Director George Thompson comments: "Not surprisingly we have already had a flow of enquiries from start-ups and businesses looking to relocate." https://lnkd.in/e92PQ4dt

The first success stories of this year's #PublicSectorDecarbonisationScheme funding round are coming to light, and we're delighted for one of our clients that has received over £600,000 last week and another had been awarded over £4.5m of funding for their decarbonisation scheme over the weekend. We look forward to more good news as these confirmations roll in. Our Leeds team was thrilled to show the Year 9 girls from Temple Moor High School and Roundhay High School around the office last week, as part of Ahead Partnership’s International Women’s Day celebrations. We were keen to introduce the pupils to the modern workplace and engage them in conversations with industry professionals to show how interesting our sector can be. This year’s #IWD2025 theme is #AccelerateAction, and we wanted to inspire the ‘Women of the Future’ with the many different ways you can enter our industry, including paths outside of academia. After our presentation, some of our colleagues joined a ‘speed mentoring’ session, where pupils could talk about career aspirations and observations of the working world. Thank you to Ahead Partnership and Wellington Place for this fantastic opportunity to show that property and real estate is a great career route for girls and women!
🌟Last week we joined our partner, Wellington Place for their annual Women of the Future event to celebrate the incredible women who work at Wellington Place and inspire the next generation of female talent. 💡The day is designed to empower young women at a critical time in their education by connecting them with female role models from professions and industries that they might not be familiar with, helping to broaden their horizons and challenge misconceptions about different careers. 🤝It also provides a unique opportunity for the Wellington Place community to come together around a shared goal, to network, and for volunteers to develop their own mentoring, public speaking and networking skills. 👏Huge thank you to Wellington Place and all the inspirational volunteers from Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, Hill Dickinson LLP, NHS England, Squire Patton Boggs, Lloyds Banking Group, Wrigleys Solicitors, Dubit, WTW, WSP, Equifax, Forvis Mazars Group, Walker Morris LLP, Arup, Saffery, Buro Happold, JLL, Eddisons, ghd, Professor Emily Zobel Marshall Find out more about the day here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e_kNAKkK #WomenOfTheFuture #WOTF #IWD2025 #WomenInBusiness #SocialValue
